Super comfortable, pairs with loads of outfits, and easy to clean. Great everyday shoe. I get loads of compliments on the yellow.
I've recently spent a week in these sneakers at a trade show in Las Vegas which may be the ultimate test of performance and comfort. After four intense days on my feet I have a pretty good read on the pros and cons of these Thousand Fell lace ups. I typically wear an 8.5 in regular shoes and a 9 in running shoes, but I (luckily) decided to size up to the 9 with these. I'm really glad I did because otherwise they would have been much too tight--would highly recommend sizing up at least a half size. The soles are also very thick and supportive with a lot of cushioning. I was easily able to stand all day without a problem. The soles also have a good amount of traction so no worries about slipping and sliding. I can also say that the composition definitely keeps the water out, as I sported these in the rain as well.I really like the ethos behind Thousand Fell and their mission to make sustainable, recyclable sneakers. However, because these are not natural leather, I found my feet getting pretty warm and sweaty throughout the day. There is an inner mesh liner that is supposed to aid with airflow but it still wasn't enough. I did also get a small blister on my heel after a full day of walking but that may be more a failure of my socks than the shoes themselves.Overall these are sharp looking shoes with a lot of positive aspects. They're generally pretty comfortable and are great for casual walking around, but I would probably not wear them again for intense days on my feet or in hot weather due to the lack of air flow. I do really like them but for the current price ($145) they are on the expensive side although not completely outside the norm for fashionable sneakers.
Decent women's leather vegan sneakers, durable and strong construction
This is a well made shoe. I'm really happy with how durable it is and how water resilient it is. I can wear it in the winter and it's holding up just fine. The footbed is perfectly sized for my foot - I have a normal width foot but I prefer a toe area that doesn't taper too much. This shoe has that. It's got plenty of room for my toes to wiggle and feel happy, while still being the right length for me.The insole comes out which is perfect for me to put in my own orthotics. It fits great with those in and I am loving the fit of the shoe even more. I have high arches, and that's really what made this shoe amazing, is being able to easily put my arch support on the inside. As a reference, I'm a size 9 women's foot and the 9 in these is what I ordered. Very happy with that fit.
These are your basic sneakers, yet I got lots of compliments on them. They are comfortable and rue to size. I wish they were real leather, but they do at least look like they are.
The color of these sneakers is somewhat different from what is depicted in the online images. Instead of the expected pink hue, they come across as a light tan or sand color. However, they are versatile, easily pairing with numerous outfits, making them an excellent choice for everyday wear. The upper features a smooth finish that can be easily wiped clean, and the water- and stain-resistant coating holds up well under daily use. The minimalist design adds to their charm, making it easy to style them with casual clothes. The outsole provides good slip resistance on indoor surfaces, offering an added layer of safety for daily activities. Comfort is generally quite satisfactory for regular use; however, I found the fit to be somewhat tight, and the arch feels narrower than expected. After prolonged wear, my feet start to feel fatigued and uncomfortable, which is disappointing. I hope they will stretch and become more accommodating after several wears. In terms of construction, these sneakers feel solid, indicating they are designed to endure over time. Nevertheless, considering the color discrepancy and the snug fit, I feel that the Thousand Fell Sneakers are slightly overpriced, raising concerns about quality control. Overall, while they have their merits, some refinements could enhance the experience.
First these shoes are incredibly comfortable. They look great and are well made. Sizing was spot on as the 7.5 was perfect and that is what I always wear in just about any other shoe company. The insole has some of the best cushioning I have had in a pair of shoes. It also provides a good amount of support. The outsole is nice and has a decent amount of traction on wet surfaces. The leather upper of the shoe is cut and sewn nicely without any visible flaws. The shoe strings are good and stay tied unlike other shoe strings I have had from another shoe company. These are almost worth the higher price tag on their own but here is what more than justifies it for me and a very good thing. These shoes are made from waste and recycled materials, including the box. Not only that but when you are done and no longer want the shoes or you have worn them out you simply put them back in the box and ship them back to the company, postage is already paid, so that the shoes dont end up in a landfill like 97 percent of footwear. That is a great thing for the environment and the quality and comfort of the shoe is a great thing for my feet.
