LOVE these boots

My wife and I hike quite a bit around the smoky mountains and surrounding area. we are both young sixties and it keeps us in shape and entertained. We both have tried several different brands of hiking boots, some terrible, some passable. We had never tried timberlands and my wife's birthday was arriving soon and she needed a new pair. Having tried so many with less than satisfactory results I went in search and settled on timberland. Ordered hers through another retailer so if they didn't fit I could return them locally. She was pleasantly surprised with the gift and overwhelmed with the fit and quality. They fit perfectly and were so comfortable right out of the box she wore them all day. The next day we were out shopping and I looked down and saw that she had on the hikers from timberland. When I questioned her, her reply was "they are so comfortable and look great with my jeans, why not wear them". I immediately went to a locale retailer and tried on my size and they fit perfectly and were so comfortable I was tempted to buy them locally. I resisted that temptation, came home, ordered them from Amazon and had them in three days. Perfect fit and the comfort is beyond belief for me. We have gone on several hiking expeditions and they still look great, clean up easily. I'm starting to wonder if I will outlive them or they will outlast me. If I manage to wear them out I will certainly order timberland again. If they outlast me...maybe i'll leave them to my son...then again, maybe i'll take 'em with me.

Good boot. Good price.

These boots have a great color and are comfortable to wear right out of the box; I trek across my university campus in these. I bought these in mind of having something warm and dry on my feet since our winter has been mostly in the single digits. I have not been disappointed. I put a coat of mink oil on mine just to condition the leather and make sure the leather would repel water and salt stains.I only gave the boots a 4 star rating because the workmanship has some flaws to it. Where the leather upper is seamed along the rubber sole there are some ridges/waviness where the leather was not smoothed out, especially at the toes. I have some concerns that this may be an initial failure point on these boots with time.As far as fit I have always found that with leather shoes or boots I have to go down a half to one full measure in size from my sneakers (10). I purchased this pair in a 9.5. They fit great. They're long enough and just wide enough to leave some wiggle room for my toes. All in all I am quite pleased though for only having spent $85. I knew that I wasn't purchasing a top of the line pair of boots, and that's quite alright.

Perfect boot for lawn care

These are the best boots I have ever used for my purposes of lawn care. I walk around in the grass, often wet, for hours on end and have never been able to find a boot that stays waterproof for more then a week. Every “waterproof” boot I have used previously, and I have tried many, all let in water. These boots truly are waterproof. I have been using them for over a year and they still hold up. They are also very lightweight which is great for walking around for hours on end. Even though my first pair is still surviving, I just recently bought another pair, just incase they become discontinued. I am seriously considering getting a third pair to sit on the shelf so I will have a pair available for years to come. Just fantastic.

Great boots

My husband wears workboots 365 days out of the year and he truly gives them a workout in all conditions. Needless to say I have bought him MANY brands over the years. He hates the breaking in period because they kill his feet. He also doubts any are actually waterproof. This pair of boots he says have been easy to break in..very little discomfort. Also he stepped down out of his truck into an unnoticed puddle and said they actually kept his foot dry and repelled the water. The toe box is wide enough to allow his toes room to breath. Worth the price and will definitely buy again if they last more then 2 years

Great Boots

I mostly got Timberlands because I heard a rapper mention them in a song. Although I do not aspire to be a rapper, I do want to get money and drive a Range Rover.I really wanted a pair of boots that would be good in light snow and would keep my feet warm when hiking in the winter. I did not see anything in the description about them being insulated, but I got them anyway. I'm really glad I did. I hiked in an inch of snow in 24 degree weather yesterday and my feet stayed really warm. I brought some toe warmers just in case, but I didn't even come close to needing them. The boots are very comfortable and worked really well for what I needed them for. I also enjoy repeatedly telling my wife that I got "dem new Tims" to which she replies "nobody ever says that" while shaking her head. #raplife
