Wish for metatarsal Boondocks
My favorite work boots are the Timberlands Boondocks. Unfortunately, work decided everyone had to wear metatarded protection. My first pair were the Gravel Pitt, super durable, very comfortable, but really heavy, about 4 lbs apiece. The Ascender is great for lightweight, and very comfortable, but the space in the toe box is less than the other two, and without the toe covers, they will quickly show the alloy toe caps, as the leather is wearing poorly in that area. Please PLEASE, Timberland, make some metatarsal rated Boondocks.Update, many months later, as I expected, the toes are suffering wear, one thru the leather, and I will be replacing soon. Comfort has been 4.5 out of 5, durability 4/5, ease of use, once I stopped using the third eyelet, was 4/5. Overall great boots, but still miss my Boondocks
