The best boots I've owned

I live in Minnesota, and the winters here can get rather cold. This past winter wasn't too bad, but I was sick of the old pair of winter boots I had lying around the house. They're bulky and the least bit stylish. Initially, I wanted these boots for work because I kept slamming my toe into things, but I no longer work there. The steel toe is always an added bonus, but that's not the highlight of these boots. To start, they're very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They're durable and definitely waterproof at least up until the lace area. They aren't slip proof, but they do offer some slip resistance; in other words, they have good traction. I can walk through mounds of snow with ease and I usually find myself purposely walking the most treacherous of paths.I see these boots lasting a long time for me. I don't even plan on swapping out the insoles because they're comfy enough as they are. Of course, they're leather, so they're going to smell nice.

Very well made and comfortable

These Timberland boots are the only boots my son wears working on site for his drainage business. The boots are pricey but he finds them more comfortable than Caterpillar boots. The soles do not crack across the middle from shovel work as the Caterpillar boots do. I check Amazon periodically for when these boots are on sale. Instead of needing a new pair every 3-4 months, my son gets 6-8 months use out of the Timberlands.

Great work boots!

I bought these boots for my dad. He is a heavy duty machine mechanic. He works literally all day, 7 days a week. He is VERY rough on his footwear. My dad requested these specifically because my brother had a pair and he loved them. These boots seem to be very popular in my family. My brothers pair lasted him a very long time and they retained their shape and sturdiness throughout. I expect my dads boots will last about the same. My dad says they are very comfortable. He wears these boots for like 19 hours a day, 7 days a week, so these boots are going to take a beating. I expect them to hold up well. If for any reason they do not I will update my review. All-in-all, these are great boots for everyday heavy-duty workers. They are comfortable and look nice too. I recommend them.

Incorrect information in the description, but good boot

I would give them 5 stars, except for one thing...In the product description they are stated as having 400 grams of insulation. This is incorrect. Upon receiving them and looking inside them, they are only 200 grams of insulation. The description is incorrect, and I just checked before writing this review, and it still has not been changed as of 3-23-16I emailed shoebuy, to see what they could do...nothing. Just a "we're sorry they are not what you expected, and we will allow you to return them."Quite dissapointed with the incorrect product information, and service from shoebuy.Boots on the otherhand, are comfortable, truly waterproof (had the toes underwater and stayed dry!) and pretty durable so far. Scuff easily though. Wore them for a week and they look like they are 2 years old.

Love these boots

One of the most comfortable pairs of boots I’ve ever worn. I am a 12 Regular (or medium) and they fit perfectly. Bought these with the expectation they would get dirty, wet, greasy, and possibly stained. So far the waterproof aspect has not disappointed and they surprisingly cleaned up beautifully with leather cleaner after getting white stucco slopped all over them. Glad to see Timberland making high quality shoes again (at least these pair, anyway).

Less than perfect condition upon receipt!

This is my third pair of Timberland boots I have purchased for my husband. The first two pairs were the black leather and this time he wanted something different, so I ordered the dark brown. Unfortunately the left boot had several scratches on it and the right boot had a big glob of glue on the heel (leather portion). My husband does not want the hassle of a return and is keeping them, but I have to wonder whether I would order from Timberland again after this experience! Would love to get a discount on this purchase if possible!

Inconsistent sizing

Tried these on in bobs store and ordered my size on Amazon for the $45 cheaper price. The ones I received fit not the same and one foot was much tighter. Boots returned. If I bought in store I’d be writing a different review because they fit properly
