Timberland PRO Men's Endurance PRO Waterproof 6" Work Boot

First off the delivery was on time and just perfect for me since my old shoes (Dr. Martens) needed replacing after four years and well I never had a 6" boot before so this was the best choice going solely on a previous product experience with Timberland (not the Pro series). The look and feel of the boot really gives off a product that is well made, sturdy and will last a long time. Naturally I buy these type of boot (steel toes, industrial standard ratings, etc.) for their durability and have had experience with several brands before which have lasted just about the same period or a little more than the Dr. Martens. Basically I don't have to go investing in a boot every year or two.The boots were true to my size fitting....different brands do have different sizing so measure your feet...and I must say these boots are heavy when you first take them out of the box and heavier than anything that I've worn before. After a few days of wearing....which surprisingly didn't require any breaking in...I hardly notice the weight "effect" of them on my feet since I'm on my feet all day. The insides are comfortable to my feet and keep them snug and dry having exposed them to heavy rainy weather over the period that I've tested their endurance in.Durability was the reason behind buying these boots so price was never a determinant since I knew these would last a while and the investment for me should go a long way...so I guess sometimes one must sacrifice the $$$ for quality...I would definitely recommend these and will also purchase another pair before Timberland discontinues this series in the future.

Great boots but a little heavy

So far I've enjoyed having these. I work as a heavy diesel mechanic and they seem to be holding up well to the everyday punishment as well as keeping water out. Best part is when I received them and wore them for the first time I never felt like I was breaking them in. They were comfortable from day one. That for me offset the fact that they are a bit heavier than other boots I've had in recent years.

Excellent support for high arches

My first pair of Timberland work boots (because Doc Martens quit making my favorite work boots). VERY pleased with these boots! Fit great with no "break in" time which was surprising because I have long narrow bony feet. Good traction on wet concrete floors. Best of all, these boots have greatly improved the stiffness in my hips from osteoarthritis. This was an unexpected bonus benefit.

When they say Waterproof, they mean it!!!

I have needed to wear work boots for work for over 58 years. I usually buy 1 new pair a year. I need electrical protection, puncture proof, waterproof, and always steel toe. But when it comes to waterproof. They all say the same thing waterproof but never really are. But these boots from Timberland are the exception. At work there was an issue with a 4-inch pipe break and was dumping about 300 gallons a minute. This caused flooding in an area that filled quickly and with a clogged drain line. There was over the ankle water level buy the time I shut the building water off. I had to walk into this water to close off 2 values to be able to bypass the problem so I could return building water for the population and cooling. So that is what I did. I am in over the ankle water going to do I needed to do. Then went back to turn on the building water. But while walking back to the main pump room I realized MY FEET WERE DRY. I told this to the team I was working with, and they were all impressed. These boots are what they say they are Waterproof. For the next few years before I retire from this line of work. I will only buy these boots. It is great in this time we are in to have a company make a product that actually does what it says it does. I have tried other boots over the years. And I will be finishing my career doing this line off work in a few more years. But as for what is on my feet Timberland will be down there. and one more thing they are also extremely comfortable.

Hope this helps

For the record, I want to state that I'm a material handler, that means a lot of walking, and a bit of climbing, a bit of going out in the snow/rain, whatever you can conjure up that a material handler might do, I do it.As far as quality, I bought these a few months ago wanting to give them a good beating at work to see how they held up. I tend to use my steel toe boots and tools while working which involves me kicking the ever loving crap out of things, using them to pry things etc. Not what boots aren't meant to do, still no cuts, still no stitching coming undone nothing.Waterproofing is as they advertised. I've stood out in puddles and in ankle deep socks and never got any water in them. Works great for when you have to be outside and don't want cold/soggy socks.Comfort. This is where the important part of my review sits. Keep note I gave it 4 stars because the boot does exactly what it's supposed to do, but the included sole they give you is pretty worthless. If you pull it out, it's cardboard thin in almost all directions. IF you're someone who's standing a lot, these boots are comfortable as all hell. It's like standing on clouds. If you walk at all, especially as much as I do, they killed my feet pretty quickly. I had to put some new insoles in the boot to make them comfortable to walk in. Even then it sometimes hurts. I wore them for about a month then threw them into the closet and wore my shoes again to let my feet heal a bit. Once I did that, I wore the boots again and have been much better. The problem with them for walking is the rear heal. Unless you direct your feet 100% forward (which almost no one does) they'll cause your foot to roll a bit causing you to walk a bit funny. They also don't bend very well so they cause your steps to kind of..uh..."calop...calop" if that makes any sense (just sound it out lol). This causes the front of your feet to kind of smack the ground. It took me a while to learn to how to walk again in these because it doesn't allow you to really walk naturally.I bought the boots for the main purpose they look rugged and were waterproofed. They aren't really meant for material handling obviously and that's on me. It doesn't affect how great the boots really are, considering how much abuse I'm putting them through, they're holding up great.I hope this helps.
