This is truly the most comfortable, driest, and lightest work boot I have ever owned. I work in a surface coal plant and I am in mud and water , sometimes 2-3 hours at a time on 12 hr. shifts.Thank you so much for helping me find the right boot. I am hoping and believe they will hold up for quite a while. Thanks again, Andrew B Jones
Been using Timberland for at least 10 years now.Good workboat I buy a pair every 2-4 years or so.Pros:A. Always waterproofB. Never worry about any workplace accidents everC. Good fit even for my ridiculously wide feet.Problem areas are:A. Always the soles that melt away over daily use and become smooth as a well worn rock.B. The inserts are cheap generic trash. I replace them with dr scholls every time.C. The stitching on the leather between the leather and the soles is the first to break.Never had an incident where my foot got hurt or wet, just construction could use a bit of work for the roughly $200 they want for these things.
Claims to be waterproof but I instantly felt water in the right boot by the toes.
yes they are a little frankinstine-ish, but they are incredibly well made and incredibly tough. the toe is great, really strong and can be used as a hammer with no discomfort to the user.
well I have only worn these one day fit was good yes a bit heavy but I will see and let you folks know how they hold up in a few weeks
I have worn Timberland shoes for years. I switched to Redwings for a bit but when they stopped making the shoe I wore I went back to Timberland. QC is lacking. Both of the shoes squeak. The leather on top has become delaminated from the composite toe guard and rubs when I walk. Sounds like like I am "tooting" with every step. I'm hoping that it wears down and stops, but my guess is that it will eventually wear a hole in the top of the boot where it is rubbing. Shame too, because these are nice boots. Expected more for the price as well.
I use these boots in the meltshop of a steel mill. They are heavy and have a thick sole that does a great job of protecting me from the heat. They take about 2-3 days of wear to break in. I put these boots thru hell. Very happy with them.
