No toe protection

These are good quality boots. I am a mechanic by trade and find these to be comfortable out of the box and last me close to a year. I like the fact that they are waterproof as I do a lot of steam cleaning and I sometimes work in incleamant weather. Here is the main reason I'm writing this review, because I was unaware of this particular model does not have toe protection of any kind. If you need this kind of foot protection I believe the XL is the model you'll want to look into. Other than that I would recommend this style of Timberland pro boot as well as the XL

The Timberland Pro series boot is great for work and home!

The Timberland Pro series boot is by far the best boot I have ever purchased. My last set of boots, the Timberland PRO Men's Hyperion Waterproof XL ST Work Boot purchased on 4/1/2014, provided unparalleled comfort working in a warehouse environment and the durability and waterproof properties required living on a farm. My current employer doesn't require steel toed boots so I opted for this Timberland PRO Men's Hyperion Waterproof Work Boot on 12/4/2016 to replace the former pair. The Vibram sole is the longest lasting sole I have had attached to a boot. As a matter of fact, I've never had a boot outlast this sole from any boot manufacturer. The quality of the Timberland Pro Series is there as can be seen by the length of time between replacements. The boot did eventually begin to come apart where the toe cap/steel toe and the boot met but this is to be expected as this is where the boot bends. I don't expect the longevity to differ much on this pair as this boot seems to be of the same high quality as the last pair. Comfort is there from day 1 on this new pair and, as I place the old pair back on my feet, its still there in the old pair. It's like walking on a cushion of air all day. Highly recommended!

Comfortable, durable and long-lasting

I’ve been through many work boots but these are probably the best I’ve ever had. Very durable from top to bottom. There is not one single negative nitpick I can think of. Very comfortable from the first time I put em on- they felt like they were already broken in. I really like the hard plastic wrap up around the front of the boot where your toes are- it prevents wear and tear from kneeling or walking through rugged terrain. I’ll definitely buy another pair if they ever wear out- I’ve had them for several years now and I wear them all day 5 days a week. Absolutely awesome boots.

Great all day boots in dry areas, poor slip resistance.

After purchasing timberland pro boots for many years now, I was looking for a change and I saw the Hyperion and I wanted to give them a try.First - I have had these boots for 4 months and I have noticed no deteriorating or breakage from the boots. I work 10 hours a day and in very wet and cold conditions. My feet were very comfortable and warm all the time. So for that I give it a plus. The only major downside that I have to these boots is the Vibriam grip that prevents slipping from oils and water. I have found myself multiple times catching myself due to the poor grip on these boots. This is the first issue I have ever had with timberland boots not being slip proof. As another test I took the books out winter hiking, while I found the boots to be very comfortable and my feet to be dry. I again found myself slipping on very low icey situations (i.e. Branches, small patches of wet snow, especially wet snow on concrete areas). This is the first time I have ever had issues with slippage from a timberland boot.My overall option is that if you plan to use these boots in a dry condition area and where you will be on your feet all day, I would highly recommend them.If you work or hike in wet areas or areas that have a potential for slippage, I would not recommend these boots.

Great comfort and easy to break in

I randomly had flare ups of plantar fasciitis (tendentious in my foot) and did some online research of the best safety toe work shoes on the market for people who suffer from this problem and several websites listed this brand and style as one of the best to have. This was the 3rd pair of these I’ve purchased in the last couple years and have I haven’t had a single flare up since. They are very comfortable and easy to break in

Great quality but my husband did say he hopes they break in soon because they are stiff.
