Happy Happy wit da shoes

So far so good. I can't comment about the longevity of the shoe at this time. I can tell you its a very comfortable shoe. I walk a lot (Electrician) and I'm typically pretty hard on shoes. I normally buy Red wings but I wanted something lighter. I usually wear out a pair in a years time and get them resoled. If I get a year out of these and toss them I'm money ahead. If you were trying these on in a shoe store you would buy them because the fit is good, there comfortable and don't pinch., they look good, have a steel toe and the price is good. There would be no reason not to buy them . So far very happy.Update 12=10-2013. I got pedometer app on my phone and have been averaging 4 miles a day. Today I walked 7. Three out at the forest preserve. I wore these shoes instead of my walking shoes and found them to be more comfortable. I really like them.Update 7-21-16 Well I got almost three years out of these shoes, figure I put a couple thousand miles on them, the soles are wore down and smooth and the uppers are starting to come apart. Pretty good, There still comfortable to walk in but like I said their time has come and gone. I just ordered another pair and I know I will be retired before I wear the new ones out.

Tough as nails, hard to beat.

I have been wearing these boots for about 9 months now. I work at a large cabinet company 5 - 6 days a week and about 50 - 60 hours a week. These boots are as tough as they come. I went through 2 pairs of wolverines in 6 months switching between the 2 pairs a few times a week. After 9 months of abuse these timberlands are still going strong but there says are numbered. Now I don't expect boots to last this Kong in my case but the outside of these are like new. I cleaned them last week and you wouldn't think they were older than a month old.The bad? Besides the soles which go on every pair of boots fairly quickly, I would say every 3 months. The only bad thing I can tell you about these is the last tabs on the top for the laces broke off. One about a month ago and the other a week later only on one boot. The other one is still good. I drilled a hole right where the tab was and if you looked at it you would think they came like that it blends in so well. The only other con is the back of the inside ( heel) has totally Fallin apart over the last month. It's just the leather now but still decently comfortable. With average use ( 40 hours a week) I'd say these could go up to 2 years. In my case of walking 6 - 12 miles a day and then working 8 - 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I would find it extremely hard to believe you could find a better pair of boots than the pro series timberland line. I have tried other companies and you do get what you pay for. I'll be buying pro series the rest of my life.

The Perfect Construction Worker's Shoe

[Review written on behalf of my husband] I don't normally write reviews but I thought it was time to do so for these shoes since I've been buying them - almost exclusively - for my husband for about 5 years now. Being on his feet all day as a construction worker for 20+ years has taken a toll on his feet, legs, and back and after complaining that his work boots (the tall, tan ones) that he wore for years were getting to be too heavy to wear, I found these Timberlands on a whim in a sporting goods store. He was skeptical but ended up LOVING them. They're lightweight (as compared to a work boot - still a little heavier than a sneaker being that they have a steel toe) and plenty comfortable to wear all day long. The wide (2EE) is wide enough to comfortably fit a thick sock and toe warmers during our cold New England months. As an electrician, he is required to wear ANSI-rated shoes and while most shoes of this style do not offer this rating, these Timberlands do. He's tried a couple other brands in the past 5 years but he keeps coming back to these. Thanks to Timberland for offering such a fantastic work shoe!

Wanted to love this shoe, but it fits narrow

Had the shoes delivered to my work, planned to put them on and hit the shop floor. I have pair of Timberland Boondock boots that I love and had high hopes for these shoes. Sometimes I can get away with wearing a 9 1/2, but I usually go with a 10 to be safe. The Mudsill in size 10 was immediately too tight in the front, from the joint of my big toe and out through the toebox. I will have to return them as they don't offer the all leather version in the 10 wide. But I'll keep wearing my beloved Boondocks until I get some Mudsills in the right size. Very strange fitment though!

Cheap Plastic Anchors

Plastic lace anchor was the worst design flaw that I have ever seen. It broke after 6 weeks. Don't waste your money, buy something that holds up more than 6 weeks.
