Amazing Boots for Sensitive Feet
These boots have been wonderful for working in the woods clearing blowdowns on trails here in Midcoast Maine. My feet are badly shaped with narrow heels and a bump on the outside of my toes. My left foot has a metatarsal injury from a log that rolled over my feet many years ago. I have arthritis in my knees and I wear orthotics. So, it takes me a long time to find a pair of boots that do not hurt my feet, are lightweight for easy walking and still provide toe protection I need while using a chain saw and working with fallen trees. I tried six other pairs of boots from different manufacturers before giving up and buying these online.Important features of these boots for people like me are the soft rubber soles that grip wet roots and rocks easily but are light weight. I need light weight because boots with stiff and heavy soles compound the problem of my metatarsal injury while making the hike into and out of the woods with heavy gear more tiring. They have a steel toe for protection but the boots flex easily and so the steel toe doesn't bother my metatarsal problem. In addition, the flexibility of the soles improves my balance on logs, roots and rocks. An added benefit of the light weight and flexible design of these boots is that simple metatarsal guards strap on to the boots easily. If you have problem feet like me, finding work boots that don't cause even more problems than you already have is a challenge. These boots worked for me and they might work for you too. You never know. They are also quite inexpensive as boots go. They may not last as long as heavier and stiffer boots but that doesn't matter if your feet are happy.
