Read this if you worry about sizing.
Fearing the rumor that these would be too small or too tight I (wear a size 12) opted for the xtra large. They slipped on with almost no effort but that's because they are a bit too big. I probably should have gone with the large instead. Now, that being said these are quite usable, as they stay on fine but the xtra room makes them slip down a wee bit making a noise when I walk with them on. The noise is far less bothersome than soaking wet feet and the noise sounds kinda like "galosh, galosh, galosh" which makes me wonder if this is not normal and the origin of the classic name for this invention. I'll be keeping these and may eventually order the size down for comparison.

Great but crack after a while
I gave these a three star review only because they started to crack and split towards the end of the winter season. I wear these galoshes to and from work in during the long, dark winters of the north to protect my dress shoes from moisture and sand, salt and gravel that is put on the sidewalks. I like the size as I am able to get my 12 EE size shoes into these galoshes. My only gripe is that they split in a few places towards the end of the winter season. This could probably be contributed to the high rubber content which means less plastic. Plastic get's hard and loses its elasticity in the cold so you would slip more often with a higher plastic content an you don't want that. These rubber galoshes are very, very good at protecting your foot wear and sturdy and sure on slippery surfaces. To sum up I recommend these and have purchased two more to get me through the upcoming winter. I'd rather they get worn out than get a product with less rubber in them. I recommend these.

Picture is misleading - these are low tops, not boots. Otherwise good product
DESCRIPTION: I bought these because I thought these were boots - as in going up to around your calf. I thought they were boots based on the Amazon picture which had four shoes, including two boots and two ankle length. It is strange because the picture changes depending if you're looking at the main picture on a desktop (just one ankle length shoe) versus the smaller picture of four shoes after you add it to your cart. I think the picture also changes if you're on a desktop or a mobile device (I bought via mobile). I won't ding the product itself for the misleading pictures.PRODUCT: The product itself was solid and gets the job done. All the bad reviews are because of sizing issues, but once you get the right size these are a solid pair of rubber overshoes.REGARDING SIZE: Sizing is a mystery on these overshoes. Based on other reviews I ordered an XL for my size 10 dress shoes (Johnston Murphy, Allen Edmonds, etc). The overshoe was too big (almost an inch extra at the toes) so I recommend size L. Also, double check the item description after you add the item to your cart and make sure size and descriptions don't change. I ended up buying a different pair of Tingleys and noticed the sizes would change.

Tight
Does not stretch and are very tight and hard to get on. They are not wide and a little loose fitting like they use to be

Bigger is better.
I wear a size 9 1/2 mens shoe and I ordered the XL. It's probably a bit larger than what others would normally buy, but I found this "loose" fit easier to get on & off for my slightly arthritic fingers. Yeah I do look like a famous fast food clown icon as I walk around drinking my coffee in the morning dew-drenched grass, but my feet stay dry, I get good traction, and I can slip them off just by using my feet. When putting them on it is helpful to push them on from the front as well as pull from the heel. They seem to be well made and fairly thick.
