I like these rainproof shoe covers very much. It’s the second style I’ve tried and this is exactly what I’m looking for the old-fashioned galoshes style, rubber all around, so they’re very rainproof expandable and then close them tight with the buckle. They’re perfect. I love them. I highly recommend And I ordered them just a little bit larger than my shoe size by one size and they fit perfectly.
Love these boots. light weight and keep feet dry and pretty warm too. At first I had a hard time getting them on and off but after applying silicone spray to inside of boot they go on and off easy. I sprayed the silicone on a rag and rubbed all over inside of boots. Don't know why the manufacturer did not do this or recommend to do this.? Also I ordered a half size bigger and am glad I did. Better too big than too small.
These boots are nice and thick. My husband wears a size 9 U.S. shoe. Bought a size 2xL and they fit some of his shoes, but didn’t fit his hiking sneakers. So I ordered an other pair of 3xL, but they are still too tight around the ankle to get the hiking sneakers on, even trying to put the shoes in without wearing them. I’m going to keep both, because they work for some shoes and I like the quality.
These do the job and keep my feet dry.My solution to getting them on and off: I wear a size 9.5 Sketchers. I turn down the top of boot, insert shoe, then foot, pull up top and wiggle my foot to get it better placed in the boot. I don't think I would want to wear these all day but short term is A-OK. The fit is hit or miss, I have no advice for that. They are slip resistant and appear and feel very durable I would buy them again. I think the Sketchers are secret to easy on and off.
sizing was off on their chart. I bought a size medium (I wear a women's size 9.5). No way were they going to fit over my athletic shoes (Brooks with a thick sole). They looked to be roughly an inch and a half longer than my regular size 10 boots so maybe thinner shoes would be ok. I gave them away rather than return them. They look good otherwise. Some people were recommending silicon spray to get them on and off easier, so maybe that would've worked, but I was looking for something a bit faster to get in and out of.
I've been using these boots for 3 summers now and they are still very functional. The heavy rains in Florida flood most of my yard every summer ... got a record 3" of rain yesterday ... and I could not do anything in the yard without these boots. I keep an old pair of heavy duty clogs in the boots so that I can just slip the boots on and off easily. My clogs are a women's size 10 wide and fit into the XL boot nice and snug as you don't want to be slipping out of these boots while you are sinking into the rain saturated ground. There is a heavy sole on the clog and this makes it easy to use a shovel with the boots over the clogs. No issues w/ the boot tearing. I recommend wearing socks because the black rubs off on the exposed heel skin. I wear my socks over my long knit pants and have no trouble getting the boots on and off. I often sink to the ankle in these boots and my feet stay dry. The only time I get wet is when some water gets in through a slush through the top of the boot. Overall, these boots have been great and I highly recommend them for this purpose.
I was excited my shoe covers came today...Great Timing. We just had that big snow in NC - weather warming up a little was so excited to get out there for my daily 3-mile walk...so put on the shoe covers... happy with the size...BUT got back from my walk - took off the shoe covers. It was wet inside the rubber boot and my shoes were wet - especially on the bottom...I thought huh..I will test again to be sure...Put on another pair of walking shoes...made sure they were very dry ..(1st pic) ...took a short walk - now look at 2nd picture... shoe is wet from water that seeped in through the shoe cover... disappointed for sure... Note: The packaging (box) the covers came in was not sealed at either end - note on box says open other end because one end of box was supposed to be sealed..it wasn't. So now I'm wondering if these shoe covers were a return and shipped out again... the box had definitely been opened before I received it!!UPDATE: I was sent another pair of these shoe covers by Amazon for an exchange. Unfortunately, this pair too let water seep thru the bottom and along the sides of the soles. I will keep one pair though because it does not allow enough water to get thru to wet my feet. Having a pair of these covers to throw over my walking shoes is better than no cover at all but water does seep thru the bottom and along the soles of the covers so just be aware...
