For half the price of Ariat these are definitely an awesome boot

These boots are totally Amazing.They have steel toes that go back quite far to protect the toes while working hard farm jobs or any job that would require steel toes.They have a look alike suede leather exterior with very fine intricate stitching that is totally beautiful and high quality stitching Just like Ariat boots would.These are only mid high calf boots, However that doesn't stop them from being totally a well worth it boot especially for someone who may not like their boots to go all the way up to the knee.They have a nice square toe instead of a pointed toe giving your feet and toes more space to spread out as you work so that they're not cramped.These are a very high quality boot that will last I'm sure between 2 and 5 years if taking care of.The soles are very thick and high quality souls on the bottom of the foot area where the soul of the shoe is.This is a high quality anti-slip oil resistant rubber,That you normally would find in hiring boots like timberlands or Ariat.The quality is very good especially on the bottom of the boot.The color is absolutely going to match anything you can imagine it's a two-tone country brown.The stitching is a mechanical stitching by a sewing machine that will last and is very well done and is in the color of a cream.There is a slight padding on the inside of this boot with a polyester inner that is give it a little bit of breathability I really like this boot because of the way that it has a little bit of padding on the inside of the calf and ankle area unlike some of the boots like Ariat where they're just straight material of cow skin and no padding These boots have padding.It's my personal opinion that the price for these are more than fair due to the fact that a pair of ariats will definitely cost you $199 or more ..given that these are half off of the price of Ariot I think that they are more than fair and actually a very good buy.It is my personal opinion that if you need steel toed boots and want the space of your toes get a square boot such as this one and give yourself the bottom safety of oil resistance slip resistance making a true all around great work boot.

Great cowboy safety boots!

First of all, this is my very first pair of cowboy boots. My niece has a rodeo coming up and I wanted to look the part while watching her compete.I got these because they have a steel toe, so I can where them at work, which require safety shoes.The boots look great. They feel like they're made of high quality materials. The design and stitching looks phenomenal.They feel a bit on the heavier side, which is to be expected given the safety toe and the thick leather material. That doesn't affect me too much.The reason I gave these 4 stars is while they fit fine, they are just not very comfortable after a day of wearing them. They may get better as they break in, but the sole just doesn't feel very soft and comfortable how I like. I may end up just buying some orthopedic insoles, which I pretty much do for all my footwear anyways.I haven't worn them in the rain to see if they are waterproof or not. When I do, I'll be sure to update this review.Overall, I do recommend these boots for anyone that wants that classic cowboy look, with the added benefit of the safety toe box. I highly recommend!

Nice cowboy boots—and not just for the guys

I've been needing a new pair of winter boots. It only snows occasionally where I live so I put it off for a while because it's difficult to find boots that don't hurt my feet, especially my sensitive borderline-bunion big toe.When I was offered these men's boots, I thought, why not? Men's shoes tend to be a tad wider than women's but otherwise, a woman's size 8.5 equals a man's size 7. And wider was just what I wanted.I also liked that the boots have a square toe. It was the pointy-toed high heels of my youth that messed up my feet to begin with so, square toe? Yay!These are roomy enough for comfort. And although the arch isn't the best, they were still comfortable after several hours of wear. If you need good arch support these won't offer that, but the included insoles can be removed so you can slip a better insole into the boot in its place.They appear well-constructed, from the thick grippy sole to the pull-up tabs. The stitched on design is attractive, as is the whole two-tone suede of the boot.I will say that I don't think they're truly waterproof. I sprinkled a few drops of water on the toe and at first, the water beaded up. But when I went to brush it off, it instead soaked into the suede. So, before we get any serious winter weather, I might shop for a suede-specific waterproofing spray for these.But those are small issues. These are nice boots, a good fit, and a good value.

Seems robustly made but fit is a bit odd

Some positives about these boots are that they look well made and heavy duty and suitable for outdoor work. They go on easy for me with supple top and perhaps too large an opening at calf height. They look nice enough if you are into the western wear look. The negatives are that the steel toe box is not tall enough on the left boot and the top of my toes can feel the boot against them in that location. The right boot has slightly more room for the toes. I can feel no arch support at all and I plan to buy an arch support insert. There is a noticeable cushion for the heel, but the rest of the insole feels too hard. While I plan to use these as a work boot and muck boot for chores around our farm, I certainly would not find them comfortable enough to wear all day every day. But they do look like they will last for years.I ordered a size 12, one up from my usual size 11 and am glad I did. The toes just fit lengthwise in these and there should be enough room to add an arch supporting insert. But I may have to trim the toe end off of the insole to prevent my toes from rubbing against the top of the steel toe box.
