going to have to wear full socks, because they rub, but they are very cute!
I'm giving these a 4 star review because I will only be able to wear them with full socks. Tried them on with sneaker socks and with no socks and there is no way I would were them without full socks. There are upper shoe things going on with the zippers: cut outs for the zippers and the actual zippers rub on the upper foot. Don't get me wrong, these shoes are so fricking cute. Plenty of cushion in the insole, lovely colors and a bit of gold bling, but out of the box the zippers on either side rub on my feet. I bought these for an up and coming trip via plane and bus. Hope they don't create too much havoc on my old feet. :) I'll wear them a bit before I take off next week and will update if they don't fit the bill for a traveling shoe. Just have to say, this is not normally the style of decoration I normally go for, I am not a wearing gold tone on my feet, but they are just as cute in the pics as they are in person.Update to 5 stars: I bought inserts for more cush and arch support. Wore them for a full day of travel, putting close to 5000 steps in. At the end of my day I had no pain in my feet, hips or back, my normal problem zones. Love these shoes, I need more!Another update: Got my second pair, this time in tan. Bought inserts for this pair, hoping I would be as happy as the first pair in blue. I was not disappointed. I still think they are not the most stylish of shoes, because, honestly, they are funky as all get out. But comfort still wins. I had the second pair on and visited a friend who is pretty traditional. She even liked them! I wish I lived in a colder climate, would love to get a pair of the funky boots. But, alas, I don't really need them. I will keep this company on my radar, because, heck, I am 66 and am not looking to impress anyone. All about the comfort. The funky is just a plus!
