Great shoe, but the U.S. size chart is wrong
The clip-ins work fine and are very easy to clip in and out. The shoe looks like a regular walking shoe and it's perfect for walking around after getting off the bike (pub, restaurant, sidewalks, hiking path). The laces can be drawn tight or loose to allow for varying foot widths. I love the shoe and would buy it again. The only problem is that the U.S. sizing chart is definitely wrong. I am from the U.S. and always buy a size 12 shoe (which equates to a size 48). For this shoe, however, I had to purchase the U.S. size 14 to get the right size. The sizing chart for this shoe erroneously shows that a U.S. size 14 is the equivalent of a 48. It should show that U.S. size 12 is the equivalent of 48. So if you are using the U.S. sizing chart, order a size or two larger than what you normally purchase. This U.S. sizing chart problem has been called out by many of the reviewers of this product. The reviewers are correct when they say that if you order your normal U.S. size, the shoes will be too small for you.

Comfortable shoe. Size runs small, I wear an 8 1/2 so I ordered size 9 they fit perfectly. I was surprised by how well they were made. Nice touch including the spd clips.

Excellent shoes for riding AND walking around.
I just took these on RAGBRAI (look it up) and rode 408 miles in a week. They were perfect for riding and walking around town off the bike. Super comfortable and no hot-spots while riding. The sole was stiff enough for long days in the saddle (my longest day was 74 miles) but just flexible enough to not realize I was wearing biking shoes when walking around towns. They held up fine for the entire ride (and a few training rides before hand).The only negative I had was that the insole started sliding up on my foot on the last day while walking around one town in the middle of a downpour. However, that (mostly) resolved itself after I simply tightened the laces. I typically leave my shoes loose enough for me to slide them on and off without retying the shoes so that could be partially my fault.Would you want these for actual bike races? Absolutely not. Triathlons? Pprobably not. Casual rides around town to the bar or farmers market? 100% yes! For those purposes, I would definitely recommend these shoes.

Beware: These shoes run small
I love the style of the shoe, especially because they don't look like your typical cycling shoe. I wear a size 13 normally, but decided to get these in a 14 (the largest size) after reading some of the reviews. Even then, the shoe was extremely tight. Unfortunately, I had to return these. I'm not sure what sizing chart this company uses. If you are considering these shoes, beware you may have to order a size or two up.

I’ve just received the shoes. I must say that I’m impressed by the quality. I typically buy size 12.5 wide sneakers, but the size 13 Torino SPD fits great. Looking forward to spinning next week. Also, having recessed cleats is a bonus.

Honey, I Shrunk the Shoes!
Many comments warned of the ridiculousness of the undersizing issue, so I figured I'd buy the size 11 instead of a 10-1/2 which has been my size for decades. Two days later they arrived, but my feet had no chance of fitting -- not even close. So I initiated a return and bought a size 12. Two days later they arrived. They were closer to fitting, but still no cigar. I then figured I'd have to try the size 13 only to find I'd have to wait FIVE WEEKS for delivery. So ends my dissappointing adventure with Tommaso and their absurd sizing ignorance. I'll look elsewhere.
