Tight across the feet

Bought these in my normal shoe size, and can barely pull onto my feet without socks. Hopefully they get looser with wear.

Looks great, runs large, size down

These loafers run large, you may need to go with a half or whole size smaller. Note: I got my Alonso loafers (light color) directly on Toms site and not Amazon but I don’t see where I can review there so leaving one here. These were exactly the style of shoe I was looking for to go with my linen pants for our trip to Mexico this month. I usually wear a size 9 (mens), for example all my Vans are 9s. I have some Sperrys that I either wear a thin no show sock or no socks and I wear 8.5 for those. So figuring these would be the same I ordered 8.5 originally. Well, they ended up being too big. My right is my slightly longer foot so my left heel was sliding out too much. I got free shipping using my wife’s account but returning them I either had to take store credit or pay a $5 restock fee. Since the shoes were no longer on sale, I returned and took the $5 hit. They eventually went on sale again, even cheaper so I ordered 8s and they just arrived. They are a little better than the 8.5s but TBH, 7.5 would probably be a better fit. Which is crazy. It’s too much hassle now and I’m too close to the trip to have another pair in time so I’m keeping them but caution… if you have some shoes in one size and some in a half size down, for these you might want to go another half size down from your smaller regular size.Update: I ended up taking another $5 restocking fee hit and returned these to Toms… they were just too big for my taste, especially around the opening/ankle. I ended up getting some Heydudes, which I’m satisfied with even though the Toms looked a bit nicer.
