great shoe for summer
These are the perfect type of shoe for the summer and I'm so glad that I bought them. I was hesitant at first from the mixed reviews here on Amazon but I've had no issues with fitment or quality. I've had these for a couple of months and I've worn them every time I've gone out to the grocery store, on dog walks, and to a couple of pool parties and they show no signs of wear. I bought the ash grey and the color matches the picture 100% (even though I think it is more like a brown than grey but whatever). I don't wear socks or anything when I wear these and they fit perfectly.The only issue that I've noticed so far is that these shoes lack any type of grip. If you are walking on a tile floor (or even on very smooth pavements!) be careful. I haven't slipped yet but sometimes it feels like I'm about to when walking on smooth surfaces.

Great shoes, can't wear socks
These are nice shoes. Very comfortable and break in quickly. In comparison to shoes that are similar would be Sanuk sidewalk surfers. The difference being the TOM's are too narrow for me to wear socks, but are wonderful without socks whereas I hate not wearing socks with the sidewalk surfers as they make my feet sweaty. I have been wearing the TOM's around the house doing chores and in the garage working on my car and they seem to be holding up well. I've even washed them a few times and no problems. They also work pretty well as driving shoes in warm weather.

Be careful when ordering these. If you are not used to wearing shoes without a sock; take this into consideration. Usually a sock will make your foot about 1/2 a size larger. On a different note, these shoes are great. Not perfect arch support (Comparable to Converse or Vans classics), but the sole is comfortable enough to walk in for a few hours at the least. I would recommend waterproofing your pair if you get one with beeswax or similar method as these shoes are canvas and your foot will get soaked in a puddle.Good shoes
