Great tempo/racing shoe with wide toe box

Phenomenal training/racing shoe. If you are looking for a wide toebox shoe for tempo runs or racing 5k-1/2 marathon or even marathon, look at these. Understand these will not likely last 500 miles as these are for people looking for a lightweight and responsive shoe. The pebax foam has great energy transfer at speeds (for me) faster than 8:00/mile. Fit is great and the speed is great. The rubber on the bottom is minimal, to keep the shoe light as a feather. This does sacrifice longevity, but the people this shoe is geared for will likely make that trade for what these shoes are for: fast workouts and racing.

Styrofoam? Fine. Peeling sole after a month. NOT fine.

Purchased these on 10/8. Only wore them as daily shoes (no races, no training) today is 11/14 and the bottom part of the sole is peeling away. It's true these thing 100% look like they are made from cheap styrofoam but I was willing to give them a try because I like topo trail shoes. These fit as I expected, were super comfortable and when I saw the construction material I was assuming they would NOT have a long lifespan because this foam was going to wear out pretty quick. I did NOT expect the "sole armor" covering stuff to just start peeling away. Not happy. I'm like a couple of days past my return window... Will be contacting topo directly I guess... Won't be getting this style again at all.

Fun to run in

I like how light these are and how breezy they feel. On a cool run day my feet feel almost cold until I’m warmed up from my run. Great in summer. They also have a very bouncy feel with good response. They are fun to run in and I find myself not wanting to stop. Wide toe box adds yo the comfort provided by the bouncy foam. Time will tell how durable a ~5oz shoe will be.

Oh no. No no. Oddly enough chat GOT suggested I buy these. I don’t trust her now. I returned after running 1 mile in these. Horrifically uncomfortable. Great for wider feet though. Not enough for me to keep.

The shoe looks homemade, as if they grab styrofoam from UPS and decided to make a shoe. I tried it on and instantly felt the difference between a shoe I’d buy from new balance to this pair. The upper surface felt like it would break after the first one. The heel didn’t feel secure.

I don’t care if the fabric eventually gets little rips on the sides. These are the best running shoes I’ve ever had and I will run in them till they fall off my feet.I’ve had the cyclone 1, 2 and now 3. No other shoe has made me want to run more. Other review mentioned rips in fabric. Only after reading that did I look for it on my cyclone 2s and yes, small rips in the upper. But they don’t affect function at all from what I’ve been able to tell
