Wide foot friendly. Sooooo comfortable.
These shows and this brand (Topo) are my favorite shoes of all time. I’ve tried calling the company before to no avail, but I’m not gonna blast them too hard on that. It’s a small company and they make a magnificent product, especially if you have wide feet. I wore at least a 2E and these are awesome. No I use these for mountain hiking and trails so they’re lightweight.. if you want every day shoes get something a little thicker from the same company, but you will not be disappointed. The BEST.

Great shoe! May just be an Altra killer!
Love the feel and comfort of this shoe. Size runs true, the Vibram souls are great and have awesome traction, and very light on the foot. Granted I only have about 20 miles on them but a much better shoe than my previous hikers. I will own more Topo’s in the future!!!!

Massive Quality Drop
I loved my previous pair of Runventure 3s, but it seems that there's been a massive quality drop with the 4. My pair has seen very light use, about 60 miles of trail hiking, and already the uppers are detaching from the midsoles. Very disappointing, and no apparent warranty outside of a 30 day trial. I won't be buying Topo in the future if I can only get 60 miles out of the shoes.

Good shoe. Color not what was expected.
I have had 3 pairs of Topo Athletic Ultraventure Pros before deciding to try the Runvenutre 4. I loved the Ultraventure Pros but wanted to try the zero drop and no rock plate to see how they would do for backpacking. I didn't really notice much difference in the drop. My seat of the pants feeling is that zero drop might be a little more stable -- i.e. I almost never roll my ankle the Runveture 4.I did notice a big difference, however, in the way I could feel the ground. And I like it. I feel more connected to the ground and get a better feel for the surface because of the lack of a rock plate.Over all the shoe is just a comfy as the Ultraventure Pros. And I will be sticking with the Runventure 4 for backpacking.Note, however, that the color in the pictures on Amazon shows the "Garnet/Black" shoe as a brownish color. Whereas in reality they are more of a maroon. See my attached picture.

Comfortable
I have searched high and low for a comfortable, lightweight, hiking shoes and this was it! They are so comfortable that I've replaced my every day sneakers with these. They were a little wide for me, but I still love them.

Cool-looking, comfortable zero drop shoe.
I only keep shoes that have a wide toe box and this shoe has that, despite what at least one other reviewer said. The deep red color looks great, just like in the photo. These shoes definitely needed firmer insoles to replace the flimsy ones they come with. So I took some happyfeet insoles out of old pair and put them in these and that solved the weird tendancy of this shoe to make the footbed feel unstable. These are now my favorite shoes. I’m glad I took a chance on them when they only had a 3.8 rating. I usually wouldnt do that.

Quality seems okay, but these aren't for me
I was looking for a replacement for my Altra Superior 5, and while these shoes didn't have any glaring deficiencies in quality, they weren't what I was looking for. The toe box isn't really roomy enough and while the 0 mm drop is appreciated, the shoe was pretty rigid and cramped my feet. Sizing was similar as my Altras, sizing up to a 12 from 11.5 on the Brannock.
