Made a major improvement in my mobility
I love that these have a naturally wide toe box and also come in a wide width. I only wish wide width meant they were actually wider. Instead, it means there is more fabric on top for more height inside the shoe, not width. Still, it is better than my previous brand favorite, which was Easy Spirit in a double wide. The phantom changed the way I walk. I can stand up straighter, more relaxed and with less pain. The bounce in the sole is awesome. Even better is the lower heel and stability. They automatically give me better posture which means less back and neck strain and less foot pain. I have never been a runner, but with these, I can actually bounce. Even using the elliptical is easier on my feet. Barn chores are easier. Grocery shopping is easier. Carrying heavy feed and boxes is easier. These are ideal for warmer weather as the top is well vented. (Not so good for the rain though.) The insoles can be removed and washed. I even washed the shoes after getting blood, and other nasty crud in them and they came out awesome. I highly recommend this brand if you like a wide toe box that doesn’t slip around on your heel, breathes well, has good cushioning, helps with balance and can handle the dirt, and is comfortable just around the house.

Great comfort
I have high arches, wider forefoot and narrow heels. I’ve had a Bunch of surgery on my left ankle including a subtalar fusion. I’m been having pain Everywhere in that left foot. These shoes hold my skinny heel stable and provide a roomy toebox, deep enough as well as wide. The uppers are flexible and cool. Cushioning is pretty good and that is saying a lot for someone with incredibly sore feet. Having said that, yes, my feet do still hurt after walking a mile or so, but I don’t think there’s a shoe on the planet where my feet would Not be hurting after a mile. I can wear the shoes for daily tasks and do pretty well. That is a win for me!

Best shoe for someone with bunions
This is my third pair of this style of Topo’s. I absolutely love the support in the arch. The wide toe box that makes it more comfortable for my bunion. They sizing is true to size. Great fit and comfy!
Nice toe room and very supportive even without my orthodics. They are also very light weight. I ordered a size 10 rather than my usual 9 1/2 as I'd read other reviews stating the half size worked better....I would totally agree. My feet weren't tired after wearing them the first day.

Indigo Perfection
This is my second pair of Topo shoes. The others are white and I love them but they have to be washed every week. I ordered this pair in purple and I love them, too! The purple is actually an indigo that goes well with jeans. These Phantom 3s are a different style and fit than my white Atmos so I will be able to switch back and forth between the two and give my aging feet a break. I am a walker, not a runner and I can walk a very long time in these comfortable shoes. Topos are very lightweight. They are great travel shoes, especially for packing in a suitcase when flying. Wear the heavy shoes to the airport and pack the Topos! I absolutely LOVE the wide toe box. I was a huge fan of Altra shoes but the toe box has gotten more narrow in newer models. I'm now a Topo aficionado. My only complaint is that it's so hard to re-lace the shoes after washing them. The tiny lace holes keep the laces in place when you are wearing them but putting the laces back in the shoes after washing is a big pain. Except for that, they are perfect.
