Durable, comfortable, true to size, great support
I have a large, normal width ladies size 12 foot. My feet usually slide around in wide shoes. After breaking my right foot 3 years ago I had to switch to shoes with a larger toe box, and settled on these as they have great toe room, good arch support, and don’t have a huge drop (my knees can’t take much over 5mm and these have a 3mm drop.) I thought I’d bought this style previously in a women’s 12 and it fit great, but I was told by an REI employee that since my feet fit comfortably into a men’s 10.5. Topo Terraventure 4, that I would need a wide in women’s. She said men’s shoes are wider. Well lady, NOT these ones. So thankful that the seller Gritr has an amazing return policy because I initially ordered a 12W in a different color and when I tried it on my heel slid around, which y’all know will cause blisters. I returned those and bought the ladies 12 in the color Blue (which is more of a dark teal, beautiful) and my feet said “Ahhhhh!” as soon as I tried them on. So lightweight and easy to wear. This is my third pair of Terraventure 4s. I am HARD on shoes, and I wear these every day, all day, 12+ hours a day. They are incredibly durable - I walk many miles in them, I garden in them, and usually get about 6 months out of them with every day wear. They wash up SO nicely and look brand new again. (NOTE if you decide to dry them in the dryer please put them in a delicates bag… I ruined an almost BRAND new pair putting them in my dryer with the laces outside the door and the agitators in my dryer destroyed the foam on the sole. Dang it. Expensive mistake.) My fellow Shesquatches, THIS is the shoe!!

Best hiking shoe!
Wide toe box and comfortably snug at the ankle. This took a few wears to break in (three hikes), and now they are the most comfortable hiking shoe I’ve had in decades! Great support and traction on rocks, trees and even dry leaves.

Best hiking shoe ever!
Absolutely love these for hiking! I go barefoot as much as possible and struggle to find shoes that fit my narrow heel and instep and wide forefoot and arent so padded or rigid that i cant feel the ground under my feet. Got two sizes to try based on reviews suggesting they run small. I found they run true to size. Sent the bigger ones back. These are much better made than its nearst competitor that leads the way in zero drop (or minimal drop) shoes; in fact, the competitor's quality has seeiously degraded over the last few years. I just cant believe i found hikers that dont leave my toes sliding around and getting jammed. The first time i put them on, they were so comfortable i wore them around the house all day. Will be ordering a couple of back up pairs because it seems shoe styles change and get discontinued.

LOVE Terraventures!!!
My favorite hiking/backpacking shoe of all time. I found my holy grail. This is probably my 7th pair of Terraventures, though I have tried other Topo Athletic trail runners, these are my favorite. I prefer the lower to ground feel than a high stack, and minimal drop, but love the rock plate (live in Rocksylvania!). Of course, I love the wide toe box and also that this style is narrow in the midfoot and heel (some wide shoes or wide toebox shoes are just too wide overall). I want toe splay, but don't want to slide around in my trail runners and I am more narrow in midfoot and heel.Topo doesn't come out with new color ways often (usually when they introduce a new version is the only time, and there usually are only one or two choices), so when I saw this color, I jumped on them! I think this color is the best they've had, and while I shouldn't care so much about the color, it's nice to have a pair that I actually like the color.Wear on the Terraventures is definitely better than the most popular hiking trail runner that begins with an A, but there can be some peeling away from the shoe of the front toe rubber. I've had to glue mine pack on a few pairs and so has my husband. I would say I get a solid 500 miles on them. Well worth it as they are the most comfortable for me and they are great on technical terrain (megagrip!) I adore Topo Athletic and pray they only get bigger and don't mess too much with this style!

Not a natural foot shape and the wides are not WIDE
I need about a minimum 3. 75 inch natural toe box and usually take a 39. That's an 8/5 women's and 7 mens. Even the wide was too narrow at the toe in both the Women's and Men's WIDE sizes, and I tried 6 pairs. Returned them all.. Even the size 8 men's WIDE was more narrow that their men's 8 medium that I bought 3 years ago that still fits fine. All of their product are simply not a natural toe box and are not wide.Rocker sole bottom is awful for your foot and caused toe, bunion, and other injuries. We need flat, natural toe box shoes and these aren't it.

Good hiking shoes
The glue started coming off by the toes area. I re glued it and it was fine but still annoying. I used this shoes for the Grand Canyon hike and they did good.
