The perfect hiking boot!
I LOVE this boot. It is sturdy, yet lightweight. Waterproof, but doesn't make my feet sweat (full disclosure: I only use this boot in the colder months). It is insulated enough to hike in winter. The toe box is wide enough to allow toes to spread comfortably without feeling clumsy. I even have arthritis in one of my big toes, but this sole is hard enough to where my toe doesn't get aggravated. The sole is also nice and grippy, as long as you don't hit sheet ice. Note: I did upsize by a half size as recommended. I usually wear zero drop shoes, but the 5mm drop feels very comfortable and natural.

Size up a half size! Pure bliss for my feet!
Listen to the reviews that advise size up 1/2!!! I have a pair of Topo Mtn Racer 3 and Phantom 4 in size 7.5. Ordered size 8 and they fit like my other Topos. I have very high arches, slightly narrow heels and Topos are the only shoe that I do NOT have to purchase insoles for. First time I wore these I hiked 7+ miles/800+ elevation. No discomfort!! Love the 5mm heel to toe drop. No more bruising my toes. Wish I had known about lower drop shoes when I first started hiking/walking. Had previously purchased other makes hike/walk/trail shoes that had a drop of 11mm + and my toenails got bruised from slipping forward when doing descents or just walking down steep hills. Almost gave up hiking. I now understand why many runners go to 0 or 3mm drop shoes. It seems like such a small difference but for me a lower drop helps keep my heel locked in when descending. Shoe also has a feature on the first plastic loop which locks the laces in place, so it keeps the lower lacing secure as you lace up the higher hooks. Great traction and flex when doing scrambles. Just love all my Topos!!

Comfortable wide toe box
I have a slight Morton neuroma on my right foot and have bought a couple pairs of Topo sneakers that I really like. I decided to try this hiking boot because my foot starts to hurt and go numb on longer hikes. I've done a couple of shorter ones so far and these seem pretty comfortable! They probably aren't quite as good as my Merrils when it comes to a hard soled bottom that holds up against very rocky trails. The one other thing I'm not super wild about is this olive green color. I wish it was more muted or came in gray or brown. I'm going to keep them and see how they do. Hopefully my foot is comfortable on longer hikes!

No pinched toes
OMG...once I got the size right (the size up recommendations are very true), my feet are SO happy! I normally always wear women's 9.5 but had to order a 10. Gosh, do they make dress shoes? I have a narrow heel but needed a wide toe box for some issues of toes rubbing (plus a fractured second toe from a fall) so have to now wear a spacer. This accommodates the spacer, and hugs the heel better than any other hiking boot. So far, I feel supported in the arch and my arches are a bit high. The drop level feels good - no pressure on the toes. The exchange in size was SUPER fast and easy. I vowed no more shoes online because you couldn't try them on but this was amazing. Love the olive color and materials seem top notch. I just tested them on a walk and all is good with adequate traction for trails. Thank you, Topo!!! XOXOXO. If these work, I will be their new spokesperson and will order for friends and family.Update: THEY WORKED on a long downhill hike in Europe! My feet felt great! No pinched toes even wearing a toe spacer.

Best boots I’ve ever owned
I’d give it 10 stars if it came in wide. The toe box is roomy and comfortable, and it’s a great boot for hiking and slogging through swampy areas, keeping feet nice and dry. Mine do rub a bit in the mid-foot area, so a slightly roomier shoe would be ideal, especially in arduous hikes.

Comfortable & Durable
The most durable, lightweight hiking shoe I've ever used. There are several comfortable brands for women's hiking shoes that work for me but none that combine this level of comfort & durability. Roomy toebox, good support & true to size. No blisters right out of the box! And frankly, I love the look. They hold up well for long AT thru hikes.

The best hiking boots!
I LOVE these hiking boots. First of all the color is my favorite, both blues are gorgeous. Second, great ankle supports. Third, and most important, is the bigger toe box. As someone who has terrible feet with nerve problems in my little toes, these boots are perfect. I’ve gone though so many pairs of hiking boots looking for the perfect pair. Most boots (and shoes) hit my nerves and make my toes go numb. It makes it painful to hike and I’m an avid hiker. I finally came across these boots and they are perfect. The toe box is wide enough that my nerves are left alone. The rest of the shoe fits snug around the rest of my foot giving great supports. I highly recommend and am tempted to buy a second pair for when I wear my first pair out.
