The Meryl Streep of winter footwear.
1. Super comfortable. Praise God.2. Good ankle support. I twist my ankles multiple times a year, sooooooo, yea. That matters to me.3. Good traction. I've shoveled snow on our driveway multiple times, had to tippy-toe in ice rain and on black ice, and these beasts are rockstars. (If rockstars were reliable, safe, and economical....? Ok, Brandon Heath. These boots are Brandon Heath.)4. Warm, but not over-warm where my feet are flipping out when I walk around indoors.5. These suckers are even cute. I feel good in these--even sexy. (Kind of like those winter Victoria's Secret magazines where the models are frolicking near a lodge in sweaters and boots. Yes. I fee that good in these.)6. Fit = ideal. I can wear with chunky or thin socks. I almost always tuck my jeans into these. There were a few times I had to wear them without socks, and friends, even that was good. The faux fur inside is so plush. Honestly, these boots are the Meryl Streep of winter footwear.5. And, my favorite aspect: ***These boots are a great option for women with larger calves.*** Hallelujah! It doesn't matter if I weigh 120lbs or 140lbs, my calves are made for climbing hills and baking babies. It is impossible to find boots that fit me at shoe stores. These are miraculous.Alternatively--my mom was born with slim, pretty legs. We got her a pair of these, since mine were such a success. She loves her pair! Dude. Nice large calf option
I am a big girl and have super wide feet. I can't ever buy a "normal wide" shoe. We just moved to an area that gets lots of snow and I was not finding anything in the stores that fit me. These Totes were nicely priced and actually fit. There are zippers on both sides of the leg that go all the way down to the ankle and have a solid piece of the water proofed material behind the zipper. So whether the zippers are up or down, my leg is still protected.The toe box fits fine as long as I have thin socks on.I love the furry style lining of the boot for comfort.Iam always cautious about slipping and falling. But the sole tread seems to have good traction. So far it hasn't been an issue.At this point I have owned the boots for about 2 weeks and have worn them almost every day. The material is holding up so far. My feet stay dry and warm.

They really grip
I love these boots. they are reasonably comfortable, keep my feet warm and dry and are look nice. Very important: they are flexible. I hate wearing boots that feel like my ankles are immobilized. They have kept me sure footed all winter. I'm 75 and a crossing guard in cold and icy northern il. One fall at my age and you end up in rehab with no promised dismissal date. The boot grips. No toe walking, gripping onto buildings or frozen in place by fear of falling. I'm going to buy another pair just so I'll be sure to have an exact same pair when these wear out. And since they are not a high end boot, they will wear out. The boots do not fit over socks. I hate to wear socks so that's not a problem for me. The inserts are not attached so pulled up every time I remove my foot. A little gorilla glue fixed that. The zippers are what prevented the 5 stars. They wouldn't zip so I sprayed some WD40 and they work but they are not heavy duty enough to just grab and zip. One grade up in zipper quality would not have added greatly to the cost and the result would have a perfect boot. So, I might see if I can find a shoemaker to replace the zips. Honestly, these boots are worth it.

I ordered up a size because I wear heavy socks and I hate cold feet in tight fitting boots. I also have wide ankles, so Im glad I went up one size. The boots are excellent quality. The patent leather upper and leopard trim fur gives them an expensive, classy look. I like the fact that they do have 2 zippers on each boot, with one on each size. I like that extra roominess and they are sooooo easy to slip into and slip off. They appeared to be taller in the pic, but it's ok, because if Im in snow deeper than the boots, then I shouldnt be outside! They also have a nice, thick treaded sole, so I wouldnt expect to slip on ice or snow. I love my new totes!

Nice boots
I bought these boots to use when I go out and walk my dog. I normally wear a size 8 or 8.5 but ordered these in a size 9. I have a bunion developing on one foot and didn’t want them to be snug. I also like to add an insole cushion to my shoes and boots, so the size 9 actually works out great. I did try them on before adding the insoles and they still fit fine, so I would suggest ordering up for these. They are comfy to wear outside and the shaft keeps my lower legs/ankles warm. I would recommend these boots.UPDATE January 2025: Just received my second pair of these boots. After one year, the inner side zipper started giving me trouble and getting stuck, so I started using the outside zippers. That got me through last year to this winter when the outside zipper started giving me trouble too. It got to the point where the zipper was just stuck and wouldn’t budge. I’m giving these boots another try because I like them so much and I’m hoping the zippers last longer this time.
