Moon Boot Look-Alike But More Rugged and With a Furrier Feel
Many of us who lived through, and can still remember, the 80's do love themselves a pair of Moon Boots, which have been mostly unavailable ever since. These TRAILBLITZ boots caught my eye by their striking resemblance, so I had to order them and see whether they offered the best of both worlds--80's look with 21st Century improvements.Overall, that's not far off. The boots come shrink-wrapped with no outer box (besides the Amazon shipping container) so keep that in mind if the plan is to gift wrap them. My first impression upon inspection was of excellent gift-grade quality at a very economical price. Yes! they are lightweight just like their precocious predecessors. Yet the rubber sole is thick, with tread for days. Won't help much on ice but should make for sure-footed trekking through snow or wet ground. The plastic upper appears to be well-glued to the sole and is double-stitched at all points connecting it to the waterproofed nylon tops. Unlike their 80's cousins, these boots provide an expandable zip-down front that makes slipping them on and off MUCH easier than in the old days. I discovered it takes a little conscious care to avoid getting the zipper jammed halfway up or down on the nylon webbing. After initial frustration I was able to avoid that by applying a gentle outward pull when zipping. Then there's that excellent easy-latch drawstring at the top that ensures a snow-tight seal over any outer wear--pants, coveralls, snow suit, even bare legs for polar bear types. Along with the thick fleece interior lining those features are exactly what's needed to ensure maximum snow snugness and winter warmth. Kudos to the manufacturer for its recommendation to order a half size larger than the foot size since that allows wearer the option of additional layering as required. The boots interior bottoms do include a thin layer of fleece, but even with the thick soles I will be adding a warm pair of winter socks to assist their insulation. Regarding those interior bottoms, to whom it may concern, there is not as much inner arch support as the sole curvature suggests. I have never had an issue with such in my winter boots since my trudging has been limited in scope, but if taking long hikes is the goal an insert for improved support should do the trick.All-in-all these boots can make a fine nostalgic gift as well as essential winter gear at a great price. Classifying among the leather-free footwear I prefer, these have the look and feel of boots that will last more than a few seasons, but a price that will keep my heart from breaking if I wear them out after only a couple.

Run VERY small
It’s a shame these run so small because they look like they would be perfect in the snow/muck. Very thick lining that I have no doubt would keep my feet warm. Unfortunately, they are extremely small- I wear a size 10-10.5 depending on the shoe/boot. 11’s are almost always too large. Ordered a size 10.5 in these and I should have gotten a 12…not exaggerating.

Cut small
I generally wear a size 13 in sneakers and a 12 in dress shoes and boots. The only pair of boots that I have worn a size 13 in are a pair of Salomon Quest 4D. These would be in the same category. I ordered a size 12 but my toes are bunching up too much to comfortable walk in them. So my suggestion would be to stick to your sneaker size. The boots are warm and easy to slip on, which was on of the main reasons I was interested in them. They are warm, with a fleece-like lining on the inside. These do not ship in a box; they’re plastic wrapped. I don’t know what that means in terms of returns. Also, if you're planning to give them as a gift, you may want to keep that in mind. Cannot give more of a thorough wear test, as they are too tight for my feet, and size 12 was the largest size available, at least at my time of ordering.

Great quality winter snow boots for the price.
My husband really likes these boots. He wears a10.5 and they fit perfectly. The inside is lined with a soft fluffy material all the way through which will be warm for work. He said they are definitely non-slip and the soles are very thick. They were easy to get on and off and look nice, they are comparable to other higher end boots in this style. He liked the zipper and the pull tab closer at the top that keeps debris out while he's working. Overall I think these winter boots are a great value for the price and I would purchase another pair in the future.

Well made. Comfortable and warm.
May run a little small, but they are snug, warm, easy to get on and off, and waterproof. Good treads. Zipper makes on/off easy. The draw strings on the top are OK, but a bit uncomfortable when they are pulled tight. I left them loose. Boots feel like they will last a long time.

These TRAILBLITZ winter snow boots are comfortable and practical for cold, wet conditions. They keep feet warm without feeling overly bulky, and the waterproof exterior does a good job blocking snow and slush. The boots feel lightweight for winter footwear and provide decent traction for walking on slippery surfaces.
