Excellent arch support with roomier fit, my feet love these.

I really love these shoes and I have really high arches! After wearing these for 2 days, I can feel a difference versus other brands. For those who tried Dover (not the RS model) but the width was too tight, these have plenty of room side to side - they fit perfectly and feel great. (I have Dover in 8.5 and they're just too tight - THESE Dover RS are awesome.)I ordered the Cloud - it's a beautiful, muted ivory and a great neutral that works with just about everything. The upper is a ripstop fabric (Dover is suede) that is reinforced for durability, breathable, and (speaking from experience) dries quickly. The heel is a marbled ivory. They are lace up - speaking as a person who prefers slide-in shoes, these are very easy to slide your foot in.I typically wear a 7.5 - 8.5 in flats but have always been told to order up at least one size in sneakers, so I ordered an 8.5. They fit with a smidge of room left in the toe box. The Vibram outsole is very sturdy and has a good amount of traction. Even indoors, the grip feels stable and predictable, which is what I expect from Vibram soles. I feel energized wearing these shoes! They're so light yet supportive. The presentation is wonderful, props to the packaging team. They arrived in a box with 2 sections: the shoes and the inserts. You will need to put the inserts in prior to wearing. My only wish was that the inside had more padding. These are fantastic for those of us who have high arches. Highly, highly recommend.

Mixed Feelings - Like the Shoe, Not the Insole

I have mixed feelings about these shoes. First, I think they are very cute in the cloud color. I'm not usually one for white shoes but this is the perfect mix of off-white and tan trim to look upscale, instead of like nursing shoes.Second, I tried them on with the insoles for two days inside the house. I wore them for several hours and my feet just hurt afterwards. Because I have a tailor's bunion (outside of foot), I'm used to having to wear wide shoes now (which is a bummer). Otherwise, there's just too much rubbing. Because the insole elevates the foot in the shoe, they made them that much tighter, which made my foot feel squeezed. Because of foot problems I've had, I also try to wear a lower heel to toe drop shoe to put less pressure on the ball and toes. With the insoles in, these shoes have a higher drop and that put more pressure on the ball and toes, which was uncomfortable.I do wish it was standard for all shoe brands to publish both the drop height and the height of the toe box space. It would be so helpful for consumers who know what they are looking for. I also have a high big toe (and toe nail) that will eventually poke a hole through shoes so I'm always looking for walking shoes with a good toe box height and usually have to put a reinforcement pad under the fabric to keep my shoes hole-free longer. The fact that toe box reinforcement stickers are sold is an indication that this is something that is not uncommon.Third, when I tried on the shoes with some leather inserts I had, they seem to feel good. I've worn them for a long period of time (am trying them again right now) and I didn't have any pain. But these were separate inserts that did not come with the shoes. So, TLDR, the shoes are comfortable to me and feel like a wide fit without the insoles. If I put them in, they squeeze the sides of my feet too much and cause pressure that does not subside with wear.I do think it's a bit confusing that the insoles come out of the shoes in a separate box. As evidenced by another reviewer's wife, it could be easy for someone to overlook. When I saw it, I thought I was going to have to trim them to size and that irritated me. Luckily, they slipped right in. But that begs the question... since the shoes come with zero insoles in them, why not ship them with the Tread Labs insoles inside and save the packing and hassles for people?

Legit impressed so far

Ok, so I had never heard of this brand before. But I did a little research before getting them and decided to give them a chance. Little backstory... I have had 4 foot/ankle surgeries. I had bilateral tarsal resections then bilateral tarsal fusions. I have wide feet and I supinate. I used to get like $200+ new balance shoes until I had a pair go kaput 3 months after getting them. Since then I've been basically getting $50 Asics. They're not perfect but they've gotten me by without breaking the bank and they typically last at least a year. I'm working full time now so I'm on my feet wayyyy more than I'm used to and it's been rough. I haven't put these through the ringer of a work day yet, but at home so far so good. Sizing is accurate, I normally wear a 7.5 (wide when available) and these in 7.5 fit well (they're normal width but my feet don't feel smushed at all). I was concerned about the included inserts, I've never been fond of inserts but these didn't immediately turn me off like other inserts do. I read online that these are recommended for supination and those with foot pain so I'm optimistic so far. I'm easing into wearing them short periods at a time as I read online when you're first wearing inserts, especially those with any kind of rise (the included inserts are medium high). When I got these in, the box already impressed me. The shoes and inserts were presented well inside the box. The inserts did not need to be trimmed and they went in with ease. We'll see how these do long term but so far so good. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on what this company comes out with in the future.
