Great, well-made shoes but fit is a little small
Great, well-made shoes but fit is a little small. The width of the shoes is just a little bit tight and if there is any question on sizing, go for the next size up. I usually wear a 7.5 or 8 (US sizing) and ordered the size 38. The shoes were perfect for me other than the arch which was slightly too tight. I ended up returning the size 38's and getting the size 39's which are very slightly big for me but not enough to cause me to return them or to the point where they start to come off when I am walking. GREAT quality materials and craftsmanship makes these shoes worth the extra money.

No more pain
I tried other wooden clogs / shoes from other brands; I found Troentorp is the best. I have several different colors and models of Troentorp clogs. Size: My sneakers size is 7 - 7.5. I wear Troentorp size 37. I used to have painful plantar fasciitis and have to wear very expensive Good Feet insoles but it's only nice to wear for sneakers or boots; I can't wear the insoles in sandals although using tapes. Value? You do the math. I liked wearing fancy sneakers, but the outsoles worn out fast, and nice fancy sneakers are difficult to find. Functionality: For the last 5 years, I rarely wear sneakers any more; I wear these clogs, daily and for travels WITHOUT Good Feet insoles. I do not have any more pain wearing these clogs every day. I am a senior, and I feel these clogs are safe for me. I love it for long airplane trips. Very durable. The outsoles are strong and last for years. This clogs have black color wood; it does not look dirty easily. To keep my wooden natural color nice and clean: I cleaned the wood and rubber with brush and soap; rinsed and wiped with dry cloth. Never soak these in water. Although it has nice good leather, I will not brush the leather with soap. The leather is easily cleaned by wiping it with damp cloth, or use leather cleaner and conditioner to preserve the leather. FYI: the leather on my clogs are still very nice although I did not use any leather cleaner and conditioner. Most of my healthcare providers asked about my clogs, and I always recommended it to them. It might be the product that don't offer much discounts, but it lasts for years.

So I needed a work shoe that didn’t pinch, supported my high arches and went with a variety of different semi-professional outfits. These clogs are gorgeous, the nails, the stain on the wood, and even the outsole, it’s a polished looking clog. They look great with wide leg, straight leg, skirts/dresses and even leggings. The fit is more narrow in this model than other clogs and on the manufacturer’s website they tell you may want to try these if you have a narrow foot or a high instep (due to the padding). I wear a 38 in Birkenstocks, so I ordered the 8 (38) in these and I am happy with the fit. Right out of the bag (sent without a box?!) they were tight and I thought I made a mistake, but I put on some socks and wore them around the house for a few days. Now they fit perfectly. I do have a little to much rub happening at the top of the instep, but I think it’s because my other shoes don’t really contact that spot and I have to get used to it. This is my first wooden clog and I find them to be supportive, quieter than expected (nice outsole) and versatile. I wouldn’t really call them comfortable, my feet are spoiled, but I love that they don’t pinch and I can just slip them off at work and tuck my feet up under me. Can’t comment on the quality yet, but I hope they last.

best clogs out there
This is my second pair of Troentorp Monets. The cushioning both inside and out is fantastic and the shoes are beautifully constructed. The only shortcoming is the conversion of size from U.S. to European. My shoe size is 9 1/2 ,and if I use their conversion chart, the clogs would be way too small. I know from experience that I wear a size 41, but the Troentorp chart equals that to a size 11-11 1/2. I ordered a size 41, and they are perfect.

I used to wear this brand/model many years ago. I had to return these because they were just about a half size too small. Maybe even a full size if your feet are not narrow.
