The Best Oxfords

I love that these oxfords don't squeeze the sides of my feet AND have plenty of arch support. They're the most comfortable oxfords I've ever owned. Plus the shape and woven leather is flattering.

Severe Sizing Issues

These shoes were not correctly sized. I normally wear an 8 medium, but the 8.5 wides that I ordered were way too short and narrow. Maybe a 9.5 wide might fit me for these shoes, but that size isn’t on sale, and I don’t want to fool with it anymore. I liked the look of these shoes, but they have no padding or arch support at all.

One of the worst purchases I have made

I originally gave these shoes a 4-star review after receiving them and trying them on - but before I had a chance to wear them for any length of time. (I did mention that in my original review.) They are about to be donated after just 3 wears.I had to order a size that was different from my usual size because of the eccentricities in the fit of these shoes, so the fact that they did not work out for me is at least partially my own fault. I should have just returned the first pair I ordered and let it go at that instead of trying to find another size that would fit. The shoes run small and narrow, which is why my own size (as measured by a Brannock) would not work. I should have known that if I had to go up 1 1/2 sizes just to get a basic fit I would be asking for trouble. Even though they did seem to fit, they heel was loose and slipped every time I took a step. I used heel pads, but to no avail. The problem is the heel cap sits too low on the back of my heel - and don't forget, this was a full size-and-a-half bigger than my regular size, so it's not as if the shoe was too small. In fact, based on the size change I made, that heel cap should have been a tiny bit taller and tighter. As I said, my bad for trusting Amazon's size adjustment recommendation.All the same, this stands out as one of the worst purchases I have made recently.

Fell apart in 5 weeks

I wore these for a walk in very light rain and the leather now has a water ring where the toe got wet. Something in the leather must have seeped out because there's a white ring around the toe where it got damp. Not even fully saturated or submerged. This is totally unacceptable. I'll never buy shoes from Amazon again because now the 30 day window has closed. If I had bought these somewhere with a physical location I'm sure they would have made it right, being only a week outside the return window. Very disappointing. Terrible quality.
