I absolutely love these shoes. I have them in black, brown, & navy. If I could have other colors I would have them too. They are comfortable; true to size; provide great arch support; I can dress them up or down; and they last forever. I wear these with my pantsuits to work or with jeans on the weekend & either way, they complete my outfit. Lastly, I have super wide feet & the extra wide fit wonderfully straight out of the box!
too snug, can't wear a sock with so ordered 12 and even with reg (not thin trouser) sock runs a tad large but I can wear. Nice look and pretty comfy. I'll rate the 12 better. You just may have a hard time finding the fit. Easy return tho!
I bought my first pair at a full service shoe store where I live. That pair was brown and i think I deserve a pair of black loafers too, don't you? Since it's last year's model it's quite a bit cheaper than the newest version of this shoe. I love Clark's women's casual/dress shoes but the Clark soles were literally wearing through within 1 month and I have a desk job! So I decided to switch to a shoe which has an old fashioned sole. After a year there's a tiny bit of wear on the heel where i scuff my shoe when I walk, and a bit of the top sole is worn at the toe, but I think I look wicked stylish with these loafers. Good with jeans as well as khaki's.
Handsome, streamline shoe that looks equally great with jeans and with dress slacks. I bought the black and the navy. The shoes are well made of soft pliable leather and have a true stacked heel, which is hard to find these days. Out of the box, I was alarmed by how tight both [pairs seemed (black more so). While the 7.5Ms were uncomfortable, I initially thought the 8M would be too big. Since they are such great looking and hard to find shoes, I decided to chance it. Since the leather is soft, I put on a pair of thick socks, squeezed my foot in and wore them around the house for day. It seemed to worked like a charm, but after a day walking around the city, I wished I had gone up a half size to 8. My at home stretch worked well enough to avoid blisters and pain, but I was too aware of my the shoes on my feet. I think within a wear or two, they will be fine but my recommendation is to go up 1/2 size.
First I ordered this shoe in 9 M and 9 W in black. I usually wear an 8.5 M or W or a 9 M or W. I received the 9 W first and it was like a canal boat! When I tried to walk in them they wouldn't stay on my foot. It was more than a half inch too long, but the width felt good. I really like the style of this shoe and that it is a leather upper Next I tried the 9M. The width was too narrow but again the length was much too long. I didn't want to give up, so I ordered the 8.5W. but it was almost as long as the 9's!! It wouldn't stay on my foot when I walked in them. The width seemed okay. I considered ordering the 8W but gave up instead. Something is wrong with the design of these shoes. Amazon was good about returning them.
Stretched out on 3rd wear. Need socks now.
Soooo very comfortable. However I did put a foot contoured insole in for better cushion.
