Great for the Price!

I'm a Santa and I Had to have new boots. I found these and they are SO MUCH BETTER than the ones I had. They fit well, they support my ankles and look wonderful. Take it from this Santa, these boots are great. They are WELL WORTH THE MONEY!They are stiff at first, but one two-hour wear and they fit like a glove!Merry ChristmasSanta Skip

Great product. Met expectations.

These boots were a great purchase. They fit as expected; comfortable, elegant, good overall quality . The material is a little "light" but I have used them to ride enough times already to attest they're holding up just fine. As far as the price point goes, these are the best boots for their class that I know of or have ever bought. I definitely recommend them to any amateur/occasional rider or simply as a fashionable wardrobe accessory to wear during the cold months. Excellent packaging and very prompt delivery.

Excellent fit after my first ride

Excellent fit after my first ride. They were a bit tight when I first put them on, but now they fit perfectly and are very comfortable. The leather seemed like it might be a little too soft at first, but they are holding up extremely well. I love the sport shoe feel in the soul and tred and I feel good contact with my stirrups. I have boots that cost twice as much and don't feel half as good. (I spent 20 years wearing military boots, so the "sneaker feeling" a boot is to me, the better :) ).

Too tall

I found they were about 2-3" too tall, rubbed inside my knee when bent

Nice boots

I have run/jogged for most of my adult life, so the fit is a little snug, but overall it took a lot less time to break in than I was expecting. Boots had the look and fit needed for Hunter/Jumping.

Expect to have them "finished" by a good shoe-repairman. Crappy finishing work out of the box

The calf fit wasn't an huge issue for me, I have normal calves. (6'1" 250 lb male). The boots are very soft and look great. After one squeeze in and wear around the house for a half hour (as should be expected for a good fit) I was able to zip these up by the second and third time I tired to put them on and the fit is excellent.I (so happy with my new boots!) went right to the barn to give them a break-in. I didn't even ride, I just longed my horse for 30 minutes at liberty in the round pen and then felt something shaking around my left boot. The leather tab at the bottom of the zipper was completely torn away, the zipper was opened at the wrong end, and my boot had filled with sand. I was crushed ... AND PISSED!I took them to a great cobbler here in Chicago and he said he was so confused. The boots were made well, but the tab and zipper were finished with basically silk thread. Why would something with such well-made uppers have such crappy assembly. These are RIDING boots, not stand-still indoor boots. My cobbler was able to repair them and glue/stitch them back together. We'll see how they hold up.Expect to have some post-sale work done on these, adding $30-$50 bucks to the upfront cost. They otherwise seem like good boots, but I am definitely suspicious and will keep a close eye on them.

Fit well, good price point.

Men's field boots were few and far between for a budget-minded beginner such as myself. It was either these, or $300+ boots. For a male who is unsure of whether or not they will continue with the sport (I will now...) these were the right price. They were true to size, easy to get in and out of, and clean up nicely. I'm 6'0, about 170 and they were just right on my calves as well with a thin riding sock.
