These Chukka Driving Moccasins are worth the money. Comfortable, well constructed, and good looking with jeans or khakis.First thing I did was treat mine with mink oil as we are heading into the fall and conditions are wet. This has kept my feet dry and the boots in great condition.I have worn them for two months, very light walking, traveling, shopping, heading the theater, and driving. Now they are “tough” enough to where on an easy hike, but they are not designed for challenging hikes. This is not a knock, but I wear a 10 in every other shoe, and like wide toe box. These have the flexibility of the wide toe box and seem to run about a half size larger than I expected.If you are looking for a rugged, stylish, and comfortable pair of chukka boots, look no further, buy them. The money you spend will save you trying buy cheaper made boots that will fail or be thrown out due to being uncomfortable or not meeting expectations.

FANTASTIC SHOE -- once you remove the plastic insert in the heel
These shoes are freaking fantastic and are quite comfortable to wear all day. For whatever reason though, they put these hard fabric/plastic thing in the heel to give it rigidity between the leather and the cloth sewn to the rear of the shoe. I guess that would be working as expected unless you get it wet (sweat anyone?). Eventually it will break (not if, when) and never breaks cleanly. The jagged edges will cut into your heel through the very thin mesh fabric. Quick fix to this is to thread rip the stitching at the back of the shoe heel and remove the (intact/broken) tab at the back with some needle nose pliers. It's sort of milk white color. Sew it back up and enjoy your shoe that will probably last you the next 10 years. I've owned 2 pairs of these and they both were far more comfortable after removing the heel support.
