Great boots
Bought brand new ones from cabelas/basspro, but fit was awful, both mine and girlfriend's. My new Twisted X fit wonderful, very comfortable, no issues. Highly recommend these. will come in handy this summer working at west Texas property. I have very nice rubber boots for rain, wouldn't recommend, nor would I expect these to stay dry if submersed. A good saddle oil would come in very handy if you expect wet conditions. Highly recommended! Only downside is that Twisted X doesn't appear to offer anything like this for the ladies.

Getting the right size is a shot in the dark!
I have a pair of these with 10 inch tops and they are the most comfortable boots I own. I ordered the taller snake boot version in the same size (11.5 wide). When I received them there was no way I could get them on. I sent those back and ordered a 12 wide and got the same result. I tried for 20 minutes to get them on but it was impossible. Sent those back and ordered a 13W. These fit perfect. They are just as comfortable as my 11.5 wide boots. The sizing being so erratic makes it tough to buy the 17" snake boots online but no one has them in stock. Worth it now but a pain in the rear process.

Not 17” all the way around the leg
I just received the boots. They are very comfortable, And I know for a fact that they are snake proof. My friend has a pair and was bitten by a copperhead, and the fangs did not penetrate the boot. However, the boots are 17 inches tall on the sides of the leg, but only about 13 1/2 inches tall on the back of the leg. A snake could easily bite your calf. The location that I hunt is way too far back in the woods to risk that. Sending the boots back today.

New Santa Boots
I love the color. I scotch guarded them to help protect the leather. They are a little tight in the instep but I believe that will stretch out with a little use. I, like the workmanship. We will see how they hold up to the little kid traffic. Ho! Ho! Ho!
