This is the sixth pair of Twisted X shoes I’ve owned and I can vouch for the comfort and durability of their shoes. I walk 8-11 miles a day at work and they don’t have a break-in period, last beyond what you would expect and remain comfortable!

Ok it’s a stretch to say they look like Timbs but looking down while wearing them there’s that clean boot feeling fresh Timbs get you. Similar to the icon NY look of Timbs and jeans. However these boots are actually comfortable. I wouldn’t wear them to walk 15k steps or to work as a contractor but to throw on for a clean look to chill they’re very comfortable. Very grippy and waterproof if you need that. Zero break in time they’re soft out of the box. No ortho support insole is removable and yes they’re still comfy with an off the shelf ortho insole with hard plastic shell. Its ankle position measured height is 4.75” so it’s a chukka boot. They are not slip on capable for me and I hope Twisted X continues to make these. Much better for warmer weather than Timbs. I don’t believe these boots contain insulation, I’ve never had an insulted boot that wasn’t warm at first step. These are not.
