Insanely Comfortable Shoes
Item was the black / black version of Twisted-X Chelsea driving boot. My size 10 was spot-on with a firmer footbed added, which took up a little room but really improved the support; others may wish to downsize 1/2 if using the soft stock insole. Perhaps the most immediately comfortable shoes I've ever put on. They feels like slippers, but are supportive enough for long walks and moderate hiking. I've just taken two long walks before penning this. The soft leather boot and ostrich skin vamp make this shoe flex like a second skin on my feet. I missed at first having two pull loops on each one, but they slide on so easily I do not need them. They have great pedal sensitivity for driving. I had previously tried Sureway's version of a moc toe Chelsea, but it was waaay stiff, more like a work boot than a driver. Tevas, Merrells and Keens were all to heavy feeling in the sole for driving. These are unlike any other Chelsea boot or driving moccasin, a great blend of the two. Else, the ostrich vamp could have been dyed a deeper black; it was more of a grey with some color variation. Durability expectation: the leather sides will wear like all cow leather, but the butter-soft ostrich vamps should wear like iron. Surprisingly, worth the $$.
