Absolutely love these shoes, size down
I’m so glad I took a chance on these shoes, because they are so comfortable. I have problem feet, so if I say a shoe is comfortable, it really is. If I don’t wear good supportive shoes my plantars fasciitis and heel spurs will come back and make life miserable. On top of that, I need good slip resistant soles because I have mobility problems. These shoes fill both those needs, and they look great too. I’m usually a 10.5 in U.S. women’s shoes, and if a shoe runs large I’ll get a size 10, or a size 11 if it runs small. The reviews say this shoe runs big, so I went with a 10. They’re too big. I’m keeping them because I love them, and I have put insoles in them to help them fit more snug. I should have heeded the reviews that said the women’s size they ordered looked like it was a man’s size, about 1 1/2 sizes too big. They are right. I have ordered a different style in this shoe, another leather style, in a size 9. The fit reminds me of haflinger clogs, and how loose and wide they fit. I always have to get a size EU 40, which is a U.S. women’s size 9, or they flop around on my feet. If I wore thick winter socks with the size 10 I received, it would probably fit fine, but I wear them barefoot. Take that into consideration, whether you’re wearing them with thick socks or not. If you wear standard socks with them, they would probably be okay with sizing down as if you were wearing them barefoot, because of how roomy the whole shoe is overall. I don’t know how long they will last, this being my first time trying this brand, but I really enjoy them so far.
