Statement Shoes
I wasn’t sure that my husband would like these shoes, as he is a chef, and when not working, usually in Adidas or Vans kicks. He does have a fun throwback side to him, though, and he liked the look of the oxfords, so I ordered them.The fit is perfect, which is very important to someone who stands for 10-12 hour shifts at work. He said they’re pretty comfortable, though he’s yet to wear them on a night out. The color scheme is unique, giving major Bugsy vibes to these statement shoes. I could see these shoes paired with a zoot suit, but just as easily with nice jeans and a crisp white t-shirt.The quality is mediocre. My husband and I are not big fans of PU leather, and though they initially look slick, if you look close up you can see that they’re far from being Ferragamo.Still, they’re fun and add a bit of irreverent style to any outfit. The price point is spot on for these shoes, and we both recommend them.

Putting on the Ritz on a Budget
The vibe is fantastic. You really do feel like you are putting on the Ritz. All you need is a cane, a top hat, and maybe a monocle to complete the look. They also did not take long to break in, which is a win in itself. I'll break down my experience below:The shoes look sharp and are surprisingly comfortable. I have not worn them for a long stretch yet, but for short events they feel great. I appreciate that they are not real leather, although like a lot of synthetic materials, they give off the vibe that they might not last forever. For moderate use like special events, nice dinners, or work environments where you are not running a marathon, they should hold up just fine.If you look closely at the seam where the upper meets the sole, you can spot a little glue peeking out. It is very hard to notice and may just be my pair. Nothing dramatic, but from past experience that usually means a lifespan of about two years. I used to buy shoes like this at discount stores and the pattern was the same. I am not taking off stars because at around forty dollars, this is still very reasonable compared to genuine leather or name brands. The only thing that I really do not like is the shoe laces. They feel cheap and they are kinda unruly. Even really posh brands use similar laces, so I'll proably swap those out for some hemp or cotton laces. I'm not sure what they are made of but they seem pretty plasticy.The glossy toe area looks great and has a smooth, almost mirrorlike shine. The description says the shoes undergo meticulous polishing and that actually shows in person. The photos do not quite capture how bright the luster is. The upper tuxedo style section is especially nice, with clean stitching that looks more expensive than the price.

40's/50's old money vibe
I absolutely love the design of these shoes. As soon as I saw them , I knew I wanted to get them for my fiance. Dress casual seems to be an appropriate category for these to fit in. He could definitely wear them with slacks, a button down shirt and blazer or a pair of jeans and a button down shirt as well. He is not big on dress shoes and wears motorcycle or work boots 24/7 but he really seems to like the design of these. Just him trying them on really says alot. I don't think he noticed they are little hearts and I'm about tell him lol. They have a 40's/50's old money feel to them. I am actually going to have him wear these when we get married. They are well constructed, have nice arch support and cushioned sole in them. All stitching and eyelets are good. No frays or inconsistencies. He says they fit well and are pretty comfortable to wear. I had him test them out doing things around the house and he had them on for a few hours. He typically wears a 13/14. They're appropriately priced for the design and quality compared to others on the market.
