Great boots for the price. Follow the size chart to make sure they'll fit.
I was surprised at how happy I was when these arrived and I tried them on. They were just as I expected. The heel and platform height seem accurate. I didn't measure, but I know my threshold for walking comfortably and confidently in heels. These seem to be just about 4 inches when subtracting the lift from the platform. Some of the other reviews said to size up. I measured my foot length, read the size chart, and used that as my guide. It worked out perfectly for me. This meant that I needed to go 1/2 size larger than what I normally would, but the chart is accurate. I suggest going with the chart to get the right size. The quality isn't stellar, but for the price and the material description, it's right where I expected it to be. I don't like to rate things lower because they aren't the highest quality when I know in advance that I'm not paying for the absolute best. If I wanted that, I'd find a professional who would make them specifically for me, but that would be way out of my budget. These aren't something I'd wear every day, so I don't need them to be able to hold up with daily use. These, at least for me, are for "special" occasions and most likely will see most of their use indoors. The belt is, as others have mentioned, pretty bad. I may use a different belt in the future, but so far, it's held up for the few times I've worn the boots. As for fit, these are nearly perfect for me. For reference, I'm 5'8" and I wear dress size 6-8 depending on the designer. I'm not especially curvy but also not rail thin. I wanted the boots to hug my legs and not be too saggy. I also wanted to be able to get into them without spending half the night struggling. If I had slightly wider hips, the sides would be perfect, but from the ankle to thigh, they keep close to my legs without a lot of gaps. There's a little stretch to the material. Not much, but a little. So, if I my legs were a little larger, they'd be absolutely perfect. I can't tell if the zippers will be a problem yet. They were a little stiff, but I wouldn't considered them bad. I just need to wear them more before I can tell if they'll hold up. So far, they seem to do the job.All around, I really like these. They fit well and have a unique style. For the money, this was a great find.
