These are true to size and very comfortable. We got these with the expectation of hunting in them, primarily during bow season (which isn’t for another year at the time of this review). They are very quiet and have great ground feel. The water resistant layer seems promising but I haven’t taken them through the swamp yet as it is winter. The quality of these are absolutely worth the price! With the insoles they are not zero drop and they are quite tight around the toe box; for those looking for a more barefoot style shoe you’d want to use a flat insole instead of what comes with the shoe. The sock style allows these shoes to stay high and tight up on the calf unlike others that might slide down. They are tight or compressed all the way up the calf. These are great shoes for hiking as well, they have great tread and should grip well, they just may not be the most fashionable shoes with shorts. Other than that I couldn’t recommend these more.
Very nice. I was a little worried that 10.5 was the highest size I could order. While that is my actual "true" size, I often order "wide" and 11 (or even 12), especially if the product is Chinese in origin. They were a little tricky going on. The "boot sleeve" is very tight; as it should be. Being the first time on my feet, they had yet to conform; having that "new shoes" period of not-quite-right. The size, however, was exactly right.I wore them to the local flea market. The roads are crushed asphalt. Scattered atop the otherwise somewhat flat surfaces of those roads, there are big chunks of asphalt that have become dislodged over time. Stepping on a stray chunk can trip one up; or, it can really hurt if the chunk happens to catch the bottom of one's foot in just the wrong place.I biked to the market, walked around for a good eight hours (stopping for lunch) and biked home again. That "new shoes" feeling disappeared so subtly that I don't even know when it happened. They were so comfortable that I had forgotten I was wearing them until I got my first compliment from another market shopper. Not once was I tripped up or hurt. They felt great; like a second skin I had grown to protect my feet. I did not take these boots off as soon as I got home. Any other boots and I would have rushed straight to my flops or slides as soon as possible, wanting to be free of the no-longer-needed heat and weight. Honestly, I probably could have slept in them without any discomfort.I do not know how long they will last. I'm pretty hard on shoes (and boots). I won't be wearing them all the time, just to stretch out the duration they will remain wearable and protect my soles as well as they did at the market. If my opinion changes or they fall apart before their time, I will be sure to update this review. For now, they're getting the five stars they deserve and a Kudos to GALLONSHARK from a happy consumer.
After several months of use in diverse activities—kayaking, cycling, fishing, and yard work—these shoes consistently perform exceptionally well. Their sock-like fit and comfort are unparalleled. The flexibility is remarkable, and the soles provide excellent traction. The style is aesthetically pleasing, and the fit is perfect. While not fully submerged, they've withstood splashes during kayaking without any water leakage. Furthermore, they clean easily in a mesh bag in the washing machine. I plan to repurchase these shoes when they eventually wear out.
I got these for a Vine product review, well, I admit it was mostly because they are so weird and I loved it!! I read other reviews and I agree that they are not really what I would use for hiking. I prefer something with more support around the ankles and a better tread. They do fit well and they are a little tight to pull up (something I think will be easier once they are worn a few times). I plan to use them when I'm doing yard work. They'll be great because they are comfortable and cover my lower leg so whether I'm digging or weed wacking my shins will remain protected. And, I think they will also fare well in the wash so I can keep them clean.I am giving them 4 stars because they are a little pricey at $40.99 for what I see as fancy shoe socks. But as a unique item to have or give I certainly recommend!
I’m a size 11 but sized up to avoid them fitting too close to my toes n back of feet. I did so because these are hiking shoes made to protect the feet but if my foot slams into a rock I don’t want my toes to feel the impact at all so the extra space between the sole n my foot is very necessary. They’re like barefoot shoes except the outsole covers the top of my toes and is thicker to absorb more impact. The upper fabric is thick warm & snug which gives me slight compression n doesnt roll down. Wearing socks with them is comfortable. The style is unique and the overall quality is great. They are real deal waterproof I soaked these under running faucet water in the bathtub for about two minutes cause I plan on getting active in these and even stretched the fabric while it was getting wet something that probably wouldn’t happen when wearing but still wanted to test and my hand was completely dry even after I let them sit n soak into the fabric while drying my hand was still dry. Impressive. They don’t dry quick though so I’d keep them exposed to air while drying to prevent mildew smell n mold. Not sure how they’ll do in a wash n dry but they should hold up fine. I’d definitely recommend. You get everything that’s advertised.
I got these out of pure curiosity and have enjoyed them so far. Fit is pretty true to size.
