finally a good pair of shoes for plantar fasciitis!

got these for my dad who is 210lbs and 5'11" with very flat feet. I've searched high and low for a good pair of shoes made specifically for people with this problem and arch supports that actually work but nothing ever seems to come close, not even the specially made ones he's had from doctors. He has a very hard time finding shoes that are comfortable and don't cause pain but these have worked out really well. They're great to walk in and now has a second pair for inside the house.

Good Looking, Comfortable, But Don't Expect Hands Free On / Off

My observations:--Good looking. Lightweight.--Comfortable in either heel up or heel down mode.--I got a good fit by adding a factor of 1.5 to the man's size for a woman's size.--Thick inner sole is removable with some effort once it's worn out but you will have to replace it with either orthotics or some other insole as the top inner surface of the sneaker bed is rough.--My plantar fasciitis went away years ago with a doctor's treatment, custom orthotics and stretching exercises so I can't comment on the specific pain relief provided by these shoes.--I got the impression from the product description that these were hands-free to put on or take off. They're not unless you are putting them on in the heel-down mode (which simulates the appearance of a clog).--The small loop on the upper vamp may help you put the shoe on with a long-handled reacher.--Heels down feature may be handy when you're toggling between casual and ultra casual occasions.
