Life-changing comfort, insane grip, barefoot feeling. Awesome!

Update: Vibram honored their 90 day warranty and sent me a new pair. So far, they are wearing normally. I absolutely love them. Feels just like walking barefoot with a little extra protection. I'll never go back to traditional shoes, which I call "foot mittens." These literally fit like a glove. Very freeing.Old review: Would have given them 5 stars if they laster longer. For the price, I'd expect a pair of shoes to last at least a year. I walk about 3 miles a day (no running) on pavement and natural trails. They should have been able to withstand such light use. Felt great but wore out way too soon.

Getting size right is everything. 10inch toe to heel and the 10.5 to 11 order fits perfectly.

Feels great, fits great, looks great. Getting the size above your normal is the correct way to go unless you like supper tight fitting that wont be good until its really stretched and I dont see how that works when the pad is not going to increase.Update: Ive had these for some time, wore them on trip from Dallas to Phoenix. Very comfortable and unlike regular tennis/sport shoes which are far more bulky and rigid..I never had to worry about moving my foot around. Very satisfied.

Only last about a year but it’s a good year

My husband LOVES these shoes so much that this is the second pair he’s ordered from vibram. He says they are so incredibly comfortable, don’t sweat his feet, they feel like you’re wearing nothing at all. That being said, he ordered a 40 last year and wore them so much that they wore out. He ordered a 40 again this year and they were too small so he had to go up to a 41 (which was odd). The new ones are just as comfortable as the old ones and he’s back to wearing them every single day. They make a great summer shoe in lieu of sandals. They are easy to slip on and off (as long as you have the sizing correct). They don’t blister your heels, they have a very lightweight feel to them and they should last about a year with everyday wear (before the fabric starts getting holes)

Good for jogs and intervals and even hiking

Great for jogging and intervals. I live in SW USA California. Only cons are really that these are not the best for ground that is hard, asphalt, and/or rough surfaces, and thorns or slick things. But that's normal with pretty much all shoes. (It's not really good to run on those things anyways for your knees or safety when going minimalist it can be risky or dangerous).Pros are: for me it worked beautifully in grass and good dirt and softer surfaces like sand and I even climbed to the summit of a sub 9,000 ft mountain in them at one point. These shoes are really nice and flexible, grip regular/dry/textures large rocks/boulders well like when you hike up a steep trail and step on some rocks or on rough boulders, and they're just good in many ways in nature. I've also ran accidentally on rocky ground littered with small rocks and it is wasn't super painful it can make some bruises but there was no penetration of the rubber and these really save your feet from a bad day. So far all that I've found that punctures them are needles from desert flowers i accidentally ran over once hanging over a fence that instantly punctured my foot. Haven't encountered glass yet but i think it would survive. Aside from that I've done very fast running on these with intervals locally. I used to be a middle distancer. I could sprint decently. Interestingly enough these can hold up decently with that and it felt good striding or sprinting until they got worn then that felt harder and less comfortable as is normal. They also have a very small gap between each toe and the end of the sleeve the toe is in. It helps for running and walking and space to not crush the foot. Some neutral advice/comments: this terrain here is some of the most difficult as well due to the heat. I've used these in very hot temperatures too and they've held up well. Some seams tore due to me being too rough pulling them on. If they get wet they'll take a day or two to dry maybe so try to avoid puddles or water you will have soggy socks.Final notes: They're airy, fun, light, and very minimalist. I loved them. They lasted 11 months of my torture, with perhaps 3x a week intense/abusive training in them. They probably have about 400 miles on them and I'm replacing them cause this terrain is crazy but I'm sure with better surface they'd last way longer. I basically ground them to nothing. They're smooth enough in some places to see my foot pronation 😂 which is a sign it's time for another pair.Hope this helps whoever is debating!

Best shoes of my life, I walk to the store offen wearing these, they're so comfortable. My back doesn't hurt as much as it used too. These are some great shoes.

VERY thin soles.

I've been a Vibram customer for some years. Wearing a pair now as I type this. But NO pair I've ever purchased has had soles THIS thin. Well made, to be sure, beautiful even, but PAINFUL to walk in. No idea who's looking to spend $100+ for a "true" barefoot experience (and all the discomfort that comes with it) but it's not me. Returned.

Happy behind words

I'm in haven and spoiled, I wore merrel trail gloves, then oranginer barefoot, that caused two weeks of crazy pain in my decompressing and expanding right foot, then I got Maxome barefoot water shoes, those are sweet and super snug, but these are obviously next level, I'll try to keep wearing all those other shoes, especially that I still have two unopened pairs each of those old ones, I bought two pairs of these, and these are hands down the best.If they start falling apart early I will update for sure.BTW, for the past 5 years I walk exclusively on the balls of my feet, my heels don't touch the ground unless standing still. That completely reversed all my knees, hips, heels lifelong problems from walking in combat boots. These particular shoes are fantastic for that, best for Fox walking, so far.Yes, walking on the balls of your feet is referred by some as Fox walking, highly recommend it.
