Key things about sizing. They are true to size--you need to wear them and stretch them out
I usually wear a EU 39 in Vibram Five Finger shoes. On Amazon, these shoes are listed in American sizes--I ordered a size 8.5, but when they arrived, they were in fact 8.5-9, EU 40. I returned those, they were too big. I wish the size chart on Amazon included the EU sizes. I then got the size 8, which was a EU39 and American 8-8.5. They were pretty tight when I first put them on, including the toes (little toe in particular) and across the top of the shoe. I am very glad I had read other reviews where folks noted that the shoes come tight and then stretch out to size when you wear them a bit---I can verify this is absolutely true! I wore them inside the house for a few days, few hours at a time and stretched them out. Fit nicely now. I love these, very comfy, and I like the natural hemp material and think they look better than some of my other Five Fingers. I also like the thicker "sneaker" like sole. Slightly thicker than some of my other Five Fingers, which is appreciated when encountering pebbles or other small objects while walking. Highly recommend these shoes.

You will love these Vibrams!
This is the same high-quality construction and materials typical of the Vibram brand. The shoes are lightweight and super comfortable, even for all-day wear. I wear a women's size 8 shoe, (not narrow or wide) and the shoes fit perfectly. What I love the most is that they are even more lightweight than my running FiveFingers and look great with casual clothes.**UPDATE** Over a year later, these shoes are still as good as they were the day I got them...and I wear them a lot. You can't go wrong with Vibrams.***UPDATE*** It's now March 2018 and I am still wearing these Vibrams all the time. Smaller than the usual Vibram 38; order a size larger
I have been wearing Vibrams for years. They are European sized. Some of my Vibrams are 37's; some are 38's because the particular model ran small.I have no idea why Amazon puts the sizes in American numbers. Vibram does not size in American sizes. But I made the translation and ordered what Amazon called the 7 1/2, which is a 38 on the box.These are smaller than my 37's. I hope they will stretch out; as it is, the heel counter kind of digs into my heel. I will give them a couple of wearings in the hope of stretching out. I ordered 2 pair; will not wear the second one in case I want to return them for a 39 (8 in Amazon sizing).If I were to do it again, I would order size 8 (Amazon sizing) to get a 39.

Vibram Five Toes
I have hammer toe and have been wearing Vibram Five toes for two years. The ones I own have laces and when the tongue slips the laces hurt my feet. I ordered these slip on five toes and they were priced reasonably, came in very quickly and fit like a glove. It took a couple days of walking to get them stretched out slightly to fit my feet, but they are so comfortable now and fit perfectly. They are true to size, I had originally order a half size smaller and they did not fit. My old shoes are still like new after two years and I suspect from the quality, that these shoes will last a long time too. Takes a little time to get used to walking in any of the five toes because they make your feet work differently. Great shoes. I recommend this company to everyone for their five toes.

These initially felt uncomfortable on my left foot but after wearing them for an hour or two, I no longer had any discomfort!
When I first took these out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised at how light they are! The hemp fabric is surprisingly soft. When I put these shoes on, it was slightly difficult to get my toes in and they were a uncomfortable around my left little toe. Any discomfort resolved within an hour or two. After wearing them around the house for three days, my toes easily slip in and they feel so comfortable! I no longer have any discomfort in my left foot and I feel like the toe separation these shoes provide will help the issue that caused my left little toe to initially feel uncomfortable in this shoe.I usually wear an 8 or 8.5. My other pair of VIbrams are a trail running shoe, size 39, but after reading advice to order up for this shoe, I ordered the 40s. Although they fit, they seemed a little big. I was worried about them being too big to wear comfortably if they stretched even a little, so I ordered the 39 to compare. The 39s were just a tiny bit snug, but after reading that they would stretch, I kept the 39s and returned the 40s. I'm glad I did, these stretched just enough!
