I live out in the desert where there is lots of dust and grit that I just can’t keep up with. These slippers provide protection from the grit and are breezy enough to feel like I’m barefoot. Soles are thin enough not to hinder putting my feet up, but thick enough to protect from the odd burr the cat brings in occasionally. Hoping Amazon gets them back in stock so I can have a pair in reserve
I wasn’t expecting much for $12 but I’m blown away. I’ve been looking for a minimalist shoe for the gym for months and bought and tossed a few different pairs that either weren’t comfortable or I just didn’t like.These shoes fit perfectly and the stretchy material they are made from feels great. The soles have a lot of traction on the bottom so I’m not worried about slipping and they flex perfectly with my feet.After writing this review I’m going to buy another pair to wear on my boat and out in public if the gf allows it.
Just received these watersshoes today. My purpose for purchasing them was as "Airplane Shoes" on long haul flights because the paper shoes they hand out (on Delta anyway) may as well be from tissue paper. I am a 5' female with feet that fit a size 8 New Balance athletic shoe and a size 7 or 8 Old Navy Flip Flop (I can generally range between 7.5-8 in most shoes). So I purchased these in the Medium which states a Women's size 7-8. As you can see in the photos, the shoes fit with a bit of space in the toe box and/or at the heel. Since I'll be wearing them with compression socks, the extra room isn't a big deal.Pros:- For a cheap foot covering these appear to be well constructed. Time will tell how they hold up.- There is a 4mm removable foam insert that offers a minute amount of cushion for short term wear comfort.- The pattern/design is nice and uniform, not patchy or cheap looking. (I chose the GreyBlack space dye pattern)- There is a small nylon loop on the back of each shoe to assist with pulling them off or on.- The material is a soft neoprene and the hem around the ankle is comfortable and does not dig into the skin.- They have a thin but relatively sturdy rubberized sole.- Lightweight, easy to pack in a carry-on or other small bag.- On the color I chose, there is no branding anywhere on the shoe (maybe this is a Con for some people, but thought it worth noting).Cons:- The foam insert is thin and offers zero arch support or any support for long periods of standing/walking.- The exterior rubber sole has very minor "traction" patterns, which when on a wet surface would probably not offer much traction at all.- Sizing can be tricky. If I was at the lower end of their suggest size spectrum, I would probably size down; in between, I'd stick to their recommended size; and at the top of their suggested sizing, I'd either size up of stick to their recommendation.Overall I think these will serve the purpose that I intend for them.
I got these shoes to keep my feet protect from the hot sand on the beach. I was tired of kicked up sand with my flip flops and also tired of sand sliding and sticking to the bottoms of my feet and burning me as I got off the beach. I wore these shoes instead and I was surprised how comfortable they are and impressed by how well they worked. They even made my big feet look smaller. I wore them in the ocean as well. The inserts slide around a little after walking a far distance. I love these shoes, they were exactly what I needed!
This is a good water sock, not nearly sturdy enough to be a water shoe. I wear mine on concrete and the beach and back. I think these would shred on the concrete. I found the fit a bit short. I wear a 8.5 new balance and ordered a women’s 9 - I have very long toes - maybe that’s the issue. The toggle on the zipper turned sideways on first go and I had to fiddle with it a bit to get it back correctly, not what I want to be doing with a pack of kids all wanting to get on the beach or when a water class is starting. For indoor use only these are pretty comfy. The ones without zippers look different and maybe have a different sole and fit.
I'm a little old lady who isn't really steady on my feet. I wanted something nonskid that would stay on my feet. I tried more traditional slippers but still didn't feel secure. These slippers/water shoes fit the bill perfectly! I cannot accidentally step out of them and they do not slip on the carpet or bare floors throughout my house. I feel much more confident. The soles are thin enough that you feel like you are walking barefoot, yet I intentionally stepped on my grandson's Lego pieces without screaming in pain! That alone made the cost worthwhile. I'll be placing an additional order soon so I have spare pairs.
I use these shoes for the beach. We have a lot of shells on the beach, and it is more comfortable walking with my new beach shoes. Helps to avoid the hurt and cuts from sharp shell pieces. They fit well and look good.
