Narrow & Not For Wide Calves (Check Out Wider Calve Options)

I feel like I have been looking for a knee high boot for several years now and I can never find one that works for me. These appeared to be beautiful in the listing and hit the check box of side zip closure, black, and leather with an okay height for heel. I normally wear shoe size from 9-10 depending on shoe and brand so I ordered in a size 10 which is probably the size I should order because a 9 would be too tight and I wouldn't go any larger than a 10 but they still had an odd fit. Upon receiving, I was a little saddened at the lack of packaging materials in the box because there are some imperfections on the boots which I contribute to the lack of packaging. Normally, new shoes are well packaged so they don't rub against one another. It almost appeared as if maybe someone had tried these on before and didn't repackage properly. The leather of the boot smells like leather but it is more of a stiffer leather that long term, I don't know how the creases from wearing will turn out. I don't consider myself to have wide feet but in the case of this boot, I would say I have wide feet. The toe bed is narrow; however, with the design of the shoe, your feet don't go that far into the shoe. It was tight on the sides where most people receive bunions (and I don't have any). My heel didn't fit 100% properly in the heel (it was almost a little sloppy but tight at the same time) if that makes sense. If you do have larger calves as do I, these will not fit. These shoes do come in a wide or extra wide calf and the listing states to search "Available In Wide And Extra Wide Calf - Search Vince Camuto Pavla Boot". So, needless to say, these wouldn't zip up. I am not even sure if the wider calves have a wider foot bed in addition!?! For the price point of these, I don't think I would actually pay 220 for this boot, maybe if it was more than half the price would I think it is worth it?

Make your foot look a whole size bigger.

I tried on the regular boots, not wide calf, and the shaft fit well and stayed up with no crumpling around ankles. There was room to fit leggings.Ultimately, I returned them because it did not fit my narrow heel well and the toe box was too long for my personal taste. Even ordering your correct size, the extended tip makes it look like you’re wearing a size or two bigger. The leather was a decent quality neither too soft nor too stiff.

Extremely wide shaft and ankle. Seem like fake leather

I guess it is possible these are real leather since they are listed as such. But the inside has that mesh like polyester weave that is always used in the interior of PU boots and I swear they seem so much like fake leather. They don't have that delicious smell of real leather, and they are priced high enough that I really did expect something finer. But the real issue is that the shaft is obnoxiously wide, particularly in the ankle. It makes me look like I have huge cankles. I am not abnormally skinny, and in fact I have pretty muscular calves from cycling, but I'm tall so I wouldn't say my calves are huge either. But it is just a prettier fit when boots aren't way bigger than your leg. But it's especially bad when they don't seem to taper in at the ankle at all, unless that's the style -- like those straight shaft boots that were popular last fall --and that is not the style of this boot. The ankle is so wide in this boot that I can take it off fully zipped with no problem. Apart from that, it was completely true to size in the foot bed, but it's such an unflattering boot on my legs, I won't be wearing it.

5 STAR HIGH QUALITY CASUAL BOOTS

UPDATE:**************************I wore these all day today for the first time and I love them even more than before! I got SO many compliments on them. I am especially in love with the cut on the footbed. The soft and suppleness of the suede upper is extremely comfortable. Not stiff AT ALL. Originally I felt the calf was too loose but now I'm really digging it. In all fairness, I do have smaller calves being under 130# so that's to be expected I guess. Anyway, I just had to come back and give a shout out to my Vince Camuto on this boot. I'm loving them! 5 STARS!**************************These boots exceeded my expectations. They look WAY better in person! I'm not a fan of flats shoes and boots but these are out of the ordinary in style. It's the cut of the footbed that sold me. I love the narrowness of the footbed and the snipped toe. The tortilla colored suede gives these a fresh and updated look. I ordered a half size up and they fit perfectly. They are VERY comfortable with a generously padded insole. The only thing I didn't like is the looseness in the calf. I wish they were more snug fitting but other than that they are perfect. They are a vit pricey but These are high quality and rhe craftsmanship is impeccable.
