My favorite riding shoe
I love these shoes! The retro road shoe styling is just the ticket for casual group rides. I collect and ride vintage bikes from the 1980s and 90s, so the shoes are in keeping with the theme. The best part, though, is the design of the sole. They accept a 2-bolt SPD cleat and have LOTS of rubber at the toe, sides, and heel. They're super easy to walk in, and keep the cleat from gouging the surface you're traversing. I wear a size 12.5 US and either a 46 or 47 Euro shoe. I tried the 47 in these, but they were too long in the toe. A 46 is perfect and even though my feet are a little wide, the traditional lace closure made it really easy to adjust the width to be snug for riding without crunching my foot. The heat-moldable insole also helped fine-tune the fit. I'm really bummed this styie seems to be out of production. I'd love to have another pair.
