Versatile in various weather conditions

Got this boot towards the beginning of my barefoot journey. I'm fortunate that I've been transitioning smoothly into barefoot shoes in the hopes of correcting my overall alignment; in this instance, I needed something to carry me through my vacation in Scotland. With average temps in the 50s and 60s (in July), This pair proved to be quite comfy and tough when navigating cobblestone streets, rocky terrain, along with wet and chilly conditions. They performed well then, but I was curious as to how they'd perform if this winter turned out to have more than a few frigid days. And here we are in my 1st winter of my barefoot journey and the chill has been something that my feet has noticed walking around on soles that are millimeters thin. Thank goodness for the thermal insoles that reflect the body heat to help keep the feet warm. To be fair, these boots seem to be made to handle spring/autumn conditions. During the winter season, I would advise pairinig with a good pair of quality wool winter socks for added insulation; so far, this combination has been instrumental in keeping my feet quite warm and comfortable when temps hit low 30-20° (not accounting for the wind chill❄️). With that said, these boots have exceeded my expectations and have been well worth the money spent. I will add that the leather parts of the boots are waterproof which proved useful when going through puddles on sidewalks and streets of a busy Metropolis. They look as smart as they are rugged so they can be dressed up or down depending on the mood. I'm happy with them!

The most durable shoes I've ever owned

Vivobarefoot are the most comfortable and longest lasting shoes I've ever had. This is my fourth pair. I have one pair that I've had for about 3 1/2 or four years they're still going and I've had them re-soled. Another pair that I use for work and two others that I keep nice when I have to look presentable. Generally, I wear out a pair of good boots in a little over a year, but these suckers just keep going.

Minimalist, zero drop, barefoot style, but protective and dry and comfortable

I have used these for a hike on Art Loeb trail (30 mi) in August, then for various shorter hikes, and most recently in the snow/ice (a relatively small amount on the ground). During the snow/ice outing, these kept my feet very warm and completely dry in conjunction with my wool sock liner and sock. During the Art Loeb trail hike, they kept my feet dry for everything but the times when my foot had to go full immersion on flooded parts of the trail (however, they did dry out nicely overnight). For context, before getting these for the long trail hike I had already been using minimalist / zero drop / barefoot style shoes for my daily wear for 1-2 years. During the Art Loeb hike I definitely could "feel" the rocks and there were times of discomfort but it was manageable and probably mostly due to my lack of built up endurance.

3-4 times the price as other similar shoes but same or lesser quality.

I have had a few pair a "barefoot" shoes now and saw these and thought they looked cool so I figured I would try them. They turned out to be somewhat low in quality and WAY more expensive that many other brands who have the exact same time of shoe. I would highly recommend not buying these and getting the cheaper options.

Shoes are made of High quality leather and feel very durable! The shoes fit perfect and are very comfortable. I love the flat style as it allows for strengthening the arch of your feet naturally!
