Great Barefoot Shoes

These are my entry to the barefoot shoe world. I didn't really want the toe shoe style that seem to be pretty popular in this space, but still wanted that barefoot experience. I ordered the Saguaro barefoot shoes at the same time so that I could compare the more budget-friendly shoe against these Primus LITEs. The Saguaros are perfectly fine and I was ready to just go with those until I tried these on. These shoes are a world apart when it comes to fit, feel, and finish. I decided to stick with the more expensive Primuses. For perspective, at work, I wear a pair of On Cloud Cloudsurfers which have an oversized cushion for an outsole and are great for standing and walking on concrete floors. The Primus LITEs are on the other end of the spectrum in that your feet feel every detail and flex to grip every rock and tree root on which they step on the trail. I love it. I feel like I have better balance wearing them as well. Whether that's true or not, I'm not sure, but I like the perceived sense of stability. It was bizarre at first, but I don't think I'll be going back to thick shoes for non-concrete walking and playing. I wouldn't go back at all except that my heels are on fire at the end of the workday if I don't wear cushy soles.I walk the same trail every week for a few miles and the day after walking the same trail with the Primuses, my calves were sore like I had done a pretty good workout. I don't know the science, but these definitely seem to make my feet and legs work differently than my cushy shoes, and that's a plus in my book.Quick note: I took the very thin insoles out for my walk to get the max "barefoot" feel with these. 10/10 would recommend.

LEGIT

This is a new walking experience where you can feel the earth but in a therapeutic way. Off road is divine, paved surfaces are about the same as a normal shoe. Great grip, too. Very cool.

The best barefoot shoe

Xero shoes are great, Merrills don't last, Whiten are too stiff, and TSLA wear out quickly(but are a good buy because they're so cheap). Vivobarefoot shoes are absolutely worth the cost. I kept my first pair for 2 years while working 2 full time patient care jobs(no, I didn't sleep much). After those finally wore through I've tried so hard to avoid paying for another pair of Vivobarefoot, but I finally broke down and did it, and they're so worth it

A TREMENDOUS Foot Transformation—MAKE FOOT GREAT AGAIN!

Let me tell you something, folks—greatness doesn’t always start with comfort. Putting these shoes on for the very first walk, my feet said, “Sir, what is happening?” They hurt. They really did. I could only wear them for 15 minutes—just 15! The pain was unbelievable. Some people would have quit. Weak people. Low-energy people. But not me. I said to my feet, “Stop being obnoxious. You have to trust the process.”Then I got to 30 minutes. Big milestone. Huge. After that, one hour. The hour felt like a triumph, like winning something very important—probably more important than most awards, to be honest. And now? Now I can wear them all day. ALL DAY. No pain—just power. Tremendous power. My feet are noticeably thicker, stronger, tougher, more beautiful than they’ve ever been. People see me walking and they say, “Sir, you look incredible. What changed?” And I tell them, “It’s the shoes. They rebuilt me. Like a renovation, but for feet.”Trust me, folks—these shoes demand greatness from you, and they give it right back. Absolutely incredible. Total game-changers. The best shoes in the world, nobody’s even close. They’re not just the best. They’re beyond the best. They’re so good, other shoes should be ashamed.

Nice shoes, if a little different than your typical shoe

Nice!My feet feel a ton better. I spend all day on concrete because I left college without completing my degree. I consistently fail in life, but I am happy to report that these shoes are not one of my typically bad decisions. They are very nice, in fact.I texted a picture of them to my exwife, she agrees that they look nice.Give them a shot- it might take a day or two to get used to them, though. I feel my feet stretching in a more “natural” way, and I don’t have the same issues with my feet feeling tight or cramped. Very good feeling.

Second set, love em

This replaced another pair that were almost identical, wore the soles out over 1.2yrs and who knows how many miles around the globe, these are my “off duty” shoes as a international pilot who loves to explore on and off pavement. I’d put in a suitcase they also squish nearly flat which is what first drew me to them. My only small gripe is the tops could be like 30% more waterproof. Great travel shoes!
