The best and most comfortable, durable pair of shoes - - this brand is #1

I ordered my first pair of these shoes about 10 years ago and have used them for a plethora of outdoor activities. The pair lasted well this entire time but many of the treads on the bottom had worn down, the insert lining that the old ones came with was wearing out, and they were plenty dirty and stinky from being "well-loved" and seeing their fair share of miles and use.I was hesitant to invest in a new pair due to the hefty price tag, and decided to try a cheaper brand that cost $100 less than these are listed for. Within several uses of those, I developed nasty water blisters on the bottoms of my feet which allowed me to make the final decision and splurge on a new pair of these. Even with open and healing blisters on my feet from that off brand, upon first wear of these Vivobarefoot shoes, I have felt like I am walking on clouds. These are the most comfortable shoe I have ever been able to wear on a regular basis. They were a tiny bit tight upon first and second use, but have been broken in and fit my feet incredibly. There is no discomfort wearing these and they are certainly worth the price!! This updated version has improved lining in comparison to the pair I have from 10 years ago. They are made with recycled materials and seem to be more waterproof and sturdier than the previous pair as well. There is really nothing bad I can come up with about these yet and I highly recommend. The only criticism I suppose I have is that the sizes are mostly listed as "Wide," however they seem to fit as a regular shoe size and not necessarily "Wide" at all. If anything, prior to breaking them in, the toes seem to be tapered downward in a narrow fashion, but that goes away after they've been worn a couple times.

Solid Shoes Order Half a Size Up”

The quality of the shoes is excellent—materials, stitching, and overall build feel solid and durable. However, they do run slightly short. I recommend ordering half a size up from your usual measurement to get a more comfortable fit, especially if you plan to wear them for long periods. Aside from the sizing detail, they’re a great pair and worth the purchase.

Too Small

Fit was too small ~ probably need a 10.5 or 11.

Best Barefoot Shoe

I’ve had these shoes for about 1/12 to two years now, and I absolutely love them! I usually wear mine to the gym, while running errands, or going for walks or on the neighborhood. I have taken them out on hikes before, and they are also fun to use on hikes if you wanna feel more of the ground that you’re walking on. I actually took the sol out of the shoe to give it even more of a close feel to the ground. I use these shoes, at least four times a week for almost 2 years and they still look and feel great. I have no issues with rips or anything like that. This is a brand that looks awesome and feels awesome. I will be always buying barefoot shoes from this brand.

Not worth the money

I bought these after a lot of research. I also carefully followed the sizing instructions at the Vivobarefoot website. I wanted to compare them to my less expensive Saguaros. I found the Vivobarefoot Primus Trail too flimsy, too big and no comparison to the Saguaros. The pair I received looked worn. I returned them the next day, and receiving the refund took weeks.

Fit

Very narrow across the instep. I tried a larger size and the fit was the same (except the toe area was not too much). Returned those as well.
