Fantastic boots that made it through snow!! Even after several years of ownership.

I've had these boots for probably 5 years now, and I could have sworn I bought them on Amazon but I can't find my link. I still feel compelled to write a review on them after this past weekend. I love these boots so much. I go through periods where I wear them daily for months, and then I've gone time where they literally just get thrown in my closet all bent up with other stuff on them. They've got some scuffs, but they are well loved.. They are comfortable, true to size, look fantastic even throughout me gaining a pretty significant amount of weight (you can loosen the laces to fit a wider calf, but they also fit great when I was skinnier), and they have lasted me a remarkable amount of time and outlasted similar boots I've had that cost way more.I recently took my 6-year-old to the snow for the first time and realized I didn't have any snow boots. I did have a bottle of weather proofer under my sink, so the morning of the trip I sprayed all the seams, the zipper, and basically the entire side and heel area from about ankle down. I doubled my socks, rolled up my jeans, and went for it. After running around in the snow (about 6 inches to a foot deep) for over an hour my feet were dry. We went to the local gift shop area and walked around in the disgusting slush and still my feet were dry. A bit cold, as these boots are not intended to be winter or harsh weather boots, but they worked and my feet were bone dry by the time I got home. My husband, on the other hand, wore his suede military boots and his feet were soaked after 15 minutes. I want to point out that I am not suggesting people buy these to wear in the snow all the time. If you need snow boots buy snow boots, but these can get you through some inclement weather in a pinch. If you move the bottom lace hole and tongue by the top of your foot it's just open to your sock. So if you were truly trudging around in snow above your ankle you will probably have wet feet. There's no internal backing behind the laces to keep wet out if you got a bunch of snow shoved in there. I kept my laces tight and sprayed that area with the weather proofer and I luckily didn't have any snow get in.I absolutely recommend these boots to anyone looking for an awesome pair of combat boots. Throw a good insole in there, take the time to properly weatherproof them (I clearly did a rush job), and you will have great boots at a ridiculous price that can make it through rain, and even some snow!

Good quality for a good price

I was skeptical because of the low price, but I'm on a budget and my everyday boots needed replaced. However, these were higher quality than expected. They're also a bit small and run narrow, which is great because I often struggle to find boots that don't look too loose on my calves. Would buy again.

Decent for skinny legs!

I have some of the skinniest ankles and calves so look for lace-up boots that I can tighten. These tighten very nicely in the calf area, but I wish they could be tightened a tad bit more in the ankle area. Still, they look good, I just had to cut the laces as they are extremely long if you tighten them a lot. The boots look similar to leather, the material is pretty thick. I would have ordered a 7 if they were real leather as leather stretches out, but I got a 7.5 instead and they fit well. The toe bed is a bit wider than I like, but not too too wide. The tread on the soles, I expect to be good when it gets icy out. I think these are a great bargain!

Great boots for a great price!!

I just received these boots and for the price, they are great! I wear a 7-1/2 to 8 size, but usually a 7-1/2 so that is what I ordered and they fit great--definitely true to size. I have small ankles and calves so it was great that I could tighten the laces and now they fit perfectly. If you have a larger calf, you can easily widen the laces to make them fit. Having the zipper on the side is perfect--barely visible, but makes them so easy to put on and take off. Yes, they do scuff, but I have found that all boots do, regardless of if they are leather or fake. I have a more expensive pair of real leather boots and the scuffs in them are worse! I actually use a black Sharpie-type marker on any scuffs that are discolored and it totally covers up the scuff. I will definitely buy these again. I might buy another pair now just to make sure I have another pair in case they are discontinued...you cannot beat the price and they really look great. I highly recommend them and love them, wear them almost every day!

Will last for ages

I got a pair of these about 10 years ago. They lasted until just a few months ago. When they started to go, they went all at once, but it took ages to get there. Up until then, they were the most comfy boots. I would wear them when I had to do a lot of walking. I did would wear them to do stunt fights in. The straps around the top went first, they ristrictred my calves from fitting in the boots and ended up getting cut off after one popped at the seam. After that, the seams started to give. I will say, for vinyl, they didn't start flaking, even in high wear zones. Id' get another pair, but I'd have to cut the straps around the top off immediately. My legs are too thicc now and they are not very forgiving of that fact.100% would buy again if they had adjustible fit in the calf.

Bought Them Before and Will Buy Them Again

I really love these boots. I have come back to them time and time again because they are comfortable, durable, and affordable. My first pair I bought from Hot Topic, and spray-painted one which for Halloween after a few years of use. Boy was I disappointed realizing what I had done. So I sought these out and bought another pair. They are versitle and can be worn with pretty much anything, dressed up or down, and can add sophistication or badass to any outfit.. I have gotten lots of compliments when wearing them. I really like that they are a bit wider than my other boots, so I can wear comfy thick socks for colder months. I wear them most often Spring-Fall though. The quality is a little lacking, but that is to be expected from a mom-leather boot. Like my tag line says, I've bought them before and I will buy them again.
