I’m usually a 7.5 so I bought an 8, and boy are they tight on me. I don’t have super wide feet, but apparently they’re too fat for these shoes. They don’t stretch much. Hoping I can break them in. The length is fine, but they are tight in the band. If you have narrow feet - enjoy these cute shoes! I wish I could. EDIT: They stretched and I still wear them all the time - 5 stars baby.
I love these slides and this is my 3rd pair in like 7 years. They can be dressed down or dressed up, have decent durability, good deep black color, compatable with wide feet. Very cute and comfortable!
I was so excited for these. I’ve been looking for some just like this forever. I put them on and my feet went side ways strangely. I looked closer and the entire bottom of the sandals were detached from the strap that goes over the top of the foot. The bottom of the shoes were all used and dirty! I should’ve known better than to buy Volcom brand from Amazon. No picture cus I returned immediately and was too busy to even do this mad.
Super cute shoes but they’re definitely made for narrow feet. Luckily they fit me well! I’m usually a 7.5 and I ordered an 8. As you can see they’re jussssttt about too small and I sized up, so you may even be able to go up two sizes. Overall they’re super cute and comfy!
I was hoping to get a comfortable shoe with a brown single strap across it for a cosplay. This is, surprisingly, really hard to find. I was really excited when I found these, they fit the bill perfectly. They look amazing for my cosplay!I just wish I could actually wear them.I tried to break them in for a day of casual around-the-house walking. Like with most leather products, getting the leather a bit wet helps with the stretching and breaking in process. I didn't notice anything off or strange about that part. And then the next day I tried to wear them on a 2 mile walk. This sounds like a lot but you can easily do that distance in just a few hours at an anime convention. And... while many of my flip-flops can hit 2+ miles without issue, these sandals were not good. Friction all around where the strap is so my whole foot had redness and irritation, and my pinky toe ended up with a horrid blister. The bottoms of my feet had light irritation from friction as well (this happens when I walk long distances in flip flops too though so I don't hold that part against the sandal). They were not necessarily uncomfortable to tread on, the sole itself had a minimal amount of padding there--but I think if I were on my feet all day in them I certainly would not have happy feet. In comparison, with my rubber flip-flops I can wear all day long and my feet will be somewhat sore but a night's sleep will fix it.Bottom line: If you want these as a quick slip-on to sit in a car, walk a few steps to do a thing, and take them back off, these aren't so bad. If you need to do a photoshoot and want accurate shoes to cosplay as Trisha Elric, these fit the bill amazingly well (just order a size down from usual). But they are far from comfortable, and if you catch yourself needing to go much farther unexpectedly you might end up with sore/blistered toes as a result. I won't be able to wear these at the con unfortunately, so I'll bring them along just for the photo shoot itself.
These were the perfect vacation sandal. I bought them for the hotel pool and beach, but they were also cute with everything else I packed. Slightly padded sole. Not slippery. They did stretch out a bit, because they got soaked by a wave, while I was wearing them. If I had taken them off and let them dry before waking in them, I don’t think they would’ve stretched out. I can still wear them though. I just wouldn’t recommend letting them get soaked.
These shoes are just meh. They are super cute but as someone else said, once you start wearing them they don't line up with your foot and they become crooked. You can see why in the product photos. The band is sewn down much further inward than regular slides. Regular slides usually sew down close to the edge and some even get anchored between the footbed and sole. Bummer bc they look so cute with a ton of outfits but two seconds later they're crooked on my feet and uncomfortable. 😕
