What a great find!!
An absolutely fantastic purchase.These boots hose of easily, are comfortable, waterproof and not as chunky and chunky as my last few pairs of Muck brand boots....and are a third the price with the available coupon.I especially like the mid-height, makes them easy to get on and off.Plus, with the molded one piece foot and sole, I shouldn't have to worry about the soles coming off in a year, like the aforementioned brand.They seem to handle any temperature comfortably, though I haven't had them long enough to use them in any temperature extremes.The calf is plenty big enough, even for those with bigger than usual calves.The only downside, so far, is that they pull my socks down unless I wear a long pair with good elastic.Highly recommended overall!

Great boots!!
I have horses and work outside in every kind of weather. The boots are absolutely great and comparable to the more expensive brands of a similar design. I wore them a couple of mornings ago to do horse care chores when the temperature was 0 F. Medium weight socks. My feet stayed warm. Great grippy tread. I think they run a little small. Not a lot, but I usually wear a 9 in the other popular brand. A 9 in these boots is close to a half size smaller, in my opinion.

Sprung Leak under 30 Days!
I was excited when I read the positive reviews as I have a farm and depend on dry and warm footwear with good traction. I have been a life long purchaser of Mucks but also disappointed in their high cost and short-life of their durability. However, I have had The Western Chiefs for just under 30 days and the right boot has already sprung a leak. I would love to endorse products made in the USA. Unfortunately, due to this experience I DO NOT recommend buying them.

Quite pleased! I had to replace my "Muck" boots because the entire sole of one came completely off when I got stuck in some deep mud in the pasture. They were not all that old either. I discovered this brand of muck boot after a great deal of searching. The reviews on the Western Chief's were all positive, even glowing! Imagine a sturdy, well-constructed all-purpose barn boot that is actually made in the good ole USA! And not overpriced either! Hard to believe but absolutely true. My boots are mid-calf and roomy enough for us girls who have been blessed with thicker calves. I am also able to wear thicker socks with these boots without cutting off my circulation. The true test will be shortly when the temps are below freezing. In some of the reviews I read your toes stay " toasty warm!" I am confident they will stay dry in inclement weather and withstand all the chores associated with owning a horse.

THESE are the boots you want to buy!
I will begin by saying that I live in Alaska so I need a good pair of boots that are durable and warm. When I noticed that it was time for a new pair, of course I turned to the two big names in boots. I purchased a pair due to name recognition even though they were very pricey! When I tried to wear them, they were so tight around my calf that I couldn't stand to keep them on! And getting them off was a struggle! So I searched and searched for an alternative. At long last, I came across the Western Chief boots here on Amazon. They were significantly cheaper than the better-known brands and they are an American company who seems to care about people. They are proud of the charitable work they do. So I figured I would give the Western Chief boots a go. I could not be more pleased! These boots are tough and rugged. They keep my feet warm during the hour-long walks I take with my dog in the Alaska winter cold! And best of all, they don't feel like they are cutting off the circulation in my legs! They slip on and off without a struggle! I am so excited to have found such a great pair of boots for such a great price that I let all the family know at Christmas that the next time they are needing to purchase boots, they need to buy Western Chiefs! These boots get the AK seal of approval! Buy them and you will NOT be sorry!
