These boots are beautifully made! The boot suede is very soft while durable. I have both this and the black and they are so comfortable to walk in for long periods of time. They are easy to put on and off. It could be because the shaft of the boot is very wide for me. I just lost a lot of weight and now have very skinny calves. I think on normal calves they would be perfect. The color is true to the picture and they do not slip.
I'll start by saying these boots are great and I totally love them -- quality genuine suede, style, fit, and price (around 60-70 on sale!). **TRUE TO SIZE, WITH A CATCH!** I purchased multiples of these, and initially tried both 7.5 and 7. I'm between sizes, leaning more toward 7.5, and the other reviews were inconsistent with sizing advice, most saying to size down by half.My conclusion after some testing is that the sizing can be a bit inconsistent! The first 7.5 I tried on was huge, it felt like an 8 or 8.5. The 7 was noticeably too small but it felt more passable, so I was going to keep it. On a whim I purchased another 7 and 7.5 and the difference was crazy. The new size 7 pair was extremely tight, way worse than the previous. The new 7.5 pair fit perfectly, not oversized like the previous one. Since then, I purchased a few more pairs sized 7.5 and never encountered one as hugely oversized as the first, however, the fit on one of the 7.5 pairs was also a bit uncomfortably tight.TL;DR: I recommend going with your usual size, but if it's too loose or tight, consider exchanging for a second pair in the same size. If the pair you receive doesn't fit perfectly from the start, it might take some trial and error of trying other pairs of the same size or trying a half size up/down.
Oh, my! These are SO good!! I only buy real leather or suede, so at this price point, I couldn’t resist. I’m a size 11 and at 6’ tall, I need a decent shaft height. These are perfect. The heel height is great. It’s high enough to look stylish, but not so high it compromises comfort. I originally came to Amazon for a suede pair, but couldn’t resist the army green. I guess I need to buy lots more colors.
Ordered size 8.5, normally wear an 8. Fit was great, comfortable to walk in, beautiful boots! I ordered Army but received gray. Will try another color.
I first ordered this boot in a wide calf and it is perfect in the foot but big in the calf. I always wear the wide calf so I don't know why the difference. I waited too long to send back so I'm keeping them. I still very much loved the boot so I ordered it again in regular calf and they fit me perfect. I love White Mountain shoes and boots. They seem to be made for my foot. I've ordered 5 pairs of boots from you this season and some shoes but not sure how many. I love them!!!
These are remarkable for the price! Truly wide calf - mine measure 18.5" - and real leather. Comfortable with a sock. True to size (nice toe box). I have worn them all day teaching, and out to dinner, with no pinching or rubbing. I will get them in another color if available!
