It's nice to find an affordable pair of shoes that has a wide toe box. These are called "barefoot trail running shoes" but I wear them to work with socks. I ordered my usual shoe size and they fit perfect. They look great and are very comfortable. Note that the sole is quite thin/flexible and there is no cushion.
I wear 11 men's US, size 44 Euro and these are true to size. They are also my single greatest purchase of 2025 so far. My feet have been killing me lately so I have done a lot of research and measuring and realized 40 years too late I need an extra wide shoe and that my arches are pretty flat. I have been miserable in shoes my whole life and as soon as these arrived I put them on and I cannot believe the immediate relief. They are light, breathe very well, the toe box is very accommodating but not awkward, the outsole is a great combination of thin, cushiony, grippy, not too stiff not too soft, and the insole is surprisingly nice underfoot as well. The soles are thin enough you can fold the shoes, perhaps for efficiency packing, and then they just spring back. I have been wearing these since they arrived and have no complaints.As far as the barefoot design goes, I guess it works naturally for me but I'm not someone who goes out of their way to find barefoot shoes. I had originally heard a lot about Lem's and was interested in those but they were too expensive. Someone then suggested Whitin and I figured for $30 I might as well try them. Very very happy.Materials: they feel like shoes made of shoe material. They are very flexible and bendy so the uppers are more synthetic fabric than plastic panels, they are breathable and I like that the sole conforms to the shape of the shoe instead of just being glued to the bottom of the shoe. They feel very good when walking, sitting, or standing. Absolutely great shoe so far.
These are good shoes, very roomie toe box. I bought them to help me with some foot pain and a growing bunion (I can’t believe I’m an old man, but these things happen).I will say that they are not as comfortable as my Nikes, but I really didn’t expect them to be at this price point. However, for the price of these sneakers, I would certainly buy them again. They fit as they should their stylish and my feet don’t hurt when I wear them. All in all a very good shoe.
I love this shoe! I bought this show for barefoot running and comfort wear, and so far it has been great. Fits my wide feet perfectly. I’ve ran 3 times on the trails near my house. A total of 16 miles running with a mixture of rocky and grassy terrain as well as asphalt roads. The shoe has sustained zero damage! I bought it on sale for $39!The only negative Ive found is that it can be slippery on wet surfaces on tile. But that happens with most shoes.Overall its just a great shoe for people with wide feet and a awesome introduction to barefoot workouts/running.
My older teen loves these. He has flat-feet, but barefoot running is very helpful to flat-feet. it is very good to feel the earth when you run. He loves the feeling, so I’m glad, as this was his first pair of barefoot runners.ps: please—don’t believe all that hype about cushioning— the closer your feet are to the ground, the more grounded you are to earth. And healthier. I run completely barefoot when i can…beach, safe ground, treadmill. And just for the record, these past three to four yers have not been my best., I used to be a full 26k marathon runner. I want to do that 26k again! I’m so out of shape. These help a lot for people who like to feel grounded. 🎵🏃♀️💜
I wanted to rave about these shoes. I heard good things about barefoot shoes and wanted to try them out without spending a fortune. They were indeed very comfortable and I actually noticed my balance and strength improving. The traction is excellent, important when walking several miles in the woods every day with an active dog. Unfortunately I can't rave because they didn't last. In less than five months the heels had worn through. Oddly the rest of the sole still had good traction but holes in the heels so quickly was disappointing. These are a great shoe if you're considering barefoot shoes, just know you'll need something more durable soon if you do much trail walking.
Amazing shoes if you have sciatica or a tight IT Band in your hip. Feel like socks and make walking properly really easy. Look pretty cool too. Probably runs a little small, I’m usually a size 12.5 and I ordered a 13W and they fit pretty well. If you’re flat footed because of tennis shoes these help you arch your feet as you walk. Really breathable and functional. Ordering these for the whole family now
